i rang O2 (from the other thread) and they told me that my number had been taken over by carphone warehouse so i had to ring them direct rather than O2

i had taken out a cashback 02 deal with E2save last June having been with O2 for years prior... e2save then changed it to simplicity from april for me

naturally i assumed i had to ring O2 for th deals but seems u have to go thru CPW if u hadnt arranged the deal with them direct

    HTH

I have been offered the following 18 month retention deal by CPW, without a new handset:

    £35 per month
600mins 1000sms - + Loyalty promo of an additional 200mins (anytime, any network)
Bolt ons - ITS, VM, Itemised Billing free (upon request)
    Redemption - £600, £200 each at months 6, 12 and 18
Therefore the monthly cost would equate to £1.67

    How does that sound?

I'm in the process of getting written detail from them so as to be sure it's as they say it will be. I will be extremely angry if this does not transpire as they say it will.

There are 2 handsets involved, one due to terminate on 14 July and the other I was about to ask for a DRN for. I have revoked the 14 July termination in favour of this offer.

There's a final cashback due on each of the phones and I'm wanting to be sure that the new contracts don't interfere with that. The guy at CPW assures me that they wont be affected and that the new contracts will start on the day that the current one ends.

My 2nd upgrade with CPW, and I don't expect any problems.

However never ever ever be complacent with CPW, as long as you are meticulous you will be perfectly fine.

Just phoned Cpw as my o2 contract finishes the end of the months, he was trying to flog me 600mins and 1000txt for £10Pm using existing handset.

I said that i wanted my pac as i dont use my phone much now as i had a work mobile too and he offered me 75mins and 125 txt for free.

so basically i get some free mins and text for nothing on my old handset, not sure how they make money out of that.

i phoned up to get my upgrade.
they offered loads of contracts, starting from £15 a month, and kept going down, £10, £5, £3.
i still refused that and asked for the pac. said i would get a call back shortly with the code.

3 mins later the retentions team called with a 12 month free offer.
only 100 text and 50 mins, but its fine for my mum.
£300 credited to the account, same as i had for the last year.
    Waddle you do eh?

The problem with CPW is that they are reluctant to write their offers down in an email, and therefore I am suspicious that the contract will not happen as they describe it to me.

They tell me that the detail of the offer will all be presented to me in a letter and that if I then decide not to go ahead then I have fourteen days to refuse the offer.

I guess that means that if I refuse the offer when it arrives by letter that I will then have to somehow convey that refusal to them, ensuring that the 14 day timer is not breached, and then I will have to give a further 30 days notice to exit the current contract?
