Do CPW still send a text confirming the receipt of a cash back claim.0
-
Yes Aylesby, CPW do still send a text confirming receipt of a cash back claim and it says a response will be given in 21 days. (I got my confirmation in 6 days and now just waiting for my last cheque to pop through my letterbox!)0

With one phone call (but quite a bit of pushing) I got for £15pm:
Nokia 6300
400 mins (anytime x-network)
1000 texts
UNLIMITED o2 to o2 calls
On an 18 month contract
Plus they offered me broadband for £2.50 a month (8MB, Unlimited downloads, free router etc).
What do people think of this? If this sounds like it suits them, push for it because it's 'on their system' somewhere....0 -
I've been on a 12months free deal withe2save and rang up to cancel at teh end. I mention a mobiles2yourDoor 12months free 750 mins 250 txt deal and this is what they offered if I kept my handset (which I'm happy to do):
400 free X net mins
200 free text
12months £35 fully refunded
OR
600 free X net mins
1000 free text
UNLIMITED data(for web & emails) (could have chosen unlimited landline/o2->o2 calls)
18 Months at £35 with £600 cash back (that £1.66 per month)
Since I'm happy with my handset I took the 18month one...I didn't realise they did such good cashback offers!!! It's great!!!
They also said it is a "relaxed" cash back offer so I can get my cash back at 6months 12 months and 18 months by sending these 3 bills in AT ANY TIME...no time limit at all (which is a refreshing change from e2save/mobileshop.com etc.)
One questions....I've never done cashback directly with CPW...is it pretty much the same as through the other websites(esave/mobileshop.com/mobiles2yourdoor....are they better/worse for trying not to give you the cashback????
Cheers0 -

From personal experience SO FAR they have been very good. I was supposed to claim at 4, 8 and 12 months, but due to some confusion, I didn't bother to claim for month 4 until month 7 and all was fine. I claimed at month 8 without a problem and am just about to do my 12 month claim and try and squeeze a good deal out of them for next year, otherwise I'll just tell them I'm cancelling and going with mobiles2yourdoor!0 -
hi there rang O2 hopin to get a deal today only to be told i had to ring CPW as i was on an e2save auto cashback deal, poo cos had just read that thread and knew what to ask for lol
anyways e2save have put me on simplicity for last couple months which is great but want to organise a new contract deal
i see a few people have got 400mns and txt for £5 a month over 2yrs, i assume this is without a new phone or any payment for not having a fone?? when they say its £5 a month is this what they charge or do they send u cashbacks every so often
oh and one last question who are u calling and on what number to get their deals
many thanks in advanceWhen you know better you do better0 -
Shykins - For me it's £5 a month that I pay (no cashback) and I get 400 mins and 1000 texts for that plus the unlimited web bolt-on for free. It's a 2 year deal. I rang 0870 111 7200 (free on o2 contract) and asked for my PAC. That got me through to the right department for the good offers!0

I have been offered same deal, called today as i am waiting my last bill to claim cashback, spoke to assistant manager and said it was too late to delay agreeing to new tariff as it has already been changed on system,eg my final bill will affect my cashback claim, but as the person who offered me this deal did not advise me to wait until 21/22nd june 02/carphone warehouse WILL pay the lost cashback, they advised me to call when bill is received and they will pay within 28 days.are they to be trusted??0

just th ought i would pop and let u know how i did with my call today
initially got offered 275mns and 200 text £5 a month for 24mnths .. i said no heard of people getting better than that so guy went away and came back and offered 400 mins, 1000 text and a choice of bolts ons of either 200 extra mins, unlimited internet or free weekend calls, i went for the internet as 400mins are enough for me
took a while, a bit of flirting and joking but knowing what had been offered to others (after reading this thread) helped me in staying firm in what i wanted
really pleased with that thanks everyone for posting
guy also told me how to get a good deal on hubbys PAYG by changing it to simplicity for a month then ringing o2 retentions as that month ended and asking what they would offerWhen you know better you do better0 -
Shykins I hope you don't mind me asking - I notice that you (like me
) have posted on both the O2 and the CPW O2 retention threads in the last few days - may I ask which your contract is on?
The reason I ask is that CPW O2 told me the other day that the 400 / 1000 offer for £15pm that lots of other people have got on the other thread is only available via O2, so I can't have it. I don't believe them, and will try again tomorrow, but just thought I'd ask to confirm.0
