CPW O2 Retentions Thread

Just got offered 12 month free via redemption on O2 35 without a new phone. Very happy.
Also got it confirmed in writing. I have read people are having troble with this. Just e-mail them from the CWH page in contact us form redemptions option. They will try to call you first but don't answer it. They will then e-mail you confirming the full deal.
I asked them to confirm the full deal and also what months bills i send and they have done this. Won't have any problems claiming hopfully.
I did contact them as suggested thank you, they replied within 24 hours as promised confirming deal and claims required. However, by my reckoning (unless CPW o2 have changed how they work) the CS has changed the claim months - I signed up in February, got an airtime bill within a few days - therefore 4 should be May by my reckoning, 8 September, 12 January (as bill would be for the 12th month in advance - I have had 3 deals with CPW previously and this has always been correct) but their advice is June, October, February - which I would be comfortable with if February wouldn't then mean potentially paying for 13 months! Also no mention of a voucher being sent out with the bill which the sales guy said would happen.
Anyone else had this?

If you recieved a bill in the same month you signed up then May is your 4th bill. If the CS was saying June, then he prob thought you would recieve your 1st bill in March, whihc is normally the case. Send your CB claim in May. CWH don't use any vouchers any longer as far as i am aware; i have never needed them for any of my claims. You can get them to confirm this via e-mail.0 -
Not sure this is a great deal but can anyone advise if I am likely to get better :
600m, 1000txt, web bolt on (costing me £7.50 per month at the moment) for £10 a month on a 24 month contract with automatic cash back.
The price is £15 a month on an 18 month contract.
The web bolt on is quite important and only available for 18 month contracts I am told.
Thanks in advance for your advice.0 -

On the 18 month contract, for the same tariff as you mentioned, they offered me 13 month free line rental, working out to be £8 per month.0 -

Thanks for this - was that with cashback/redemptions? The offer they have given me is automatic....I will check on whether there is a better deal for cashback, but would like to know my ground first!
thanks again0 -
Yeah, it was cashback redemptions. It was £476 cashback on the 18 month contract (o2 600 Xnet mins/500 TXT per month), so that works out : £8.56 per month but no handset.
A good deal but I refused deal because claiming cashbacks after month 6,12 and 18 month is just too long.
Eventually, after having spoken to like 25 different people over 3 weeks, I got offered:
O2 400 - 400Xnet mins/1000 TXT per month (12 month contract): £250 cashback with Brand New Nokia 6500 Classic Bronze phone. Cashback claims after months 4,8 and 12. This works out to be around £14 a month.
12 month deals aren't as attractive as they used to be as more and more companies are pushing towards 18/24 month deals.0 -

Anon - so are you gonna send may's bill?0 -

Will do as it won't invalidate the claim and you have 60 days to claim with CPW, so if it is wrong, they will say and then time to send the right one. We have never had problems at all with CPW (cannot say the same for their evil offspring OSPS or e2save!) therefore I am sure it will be fine (though may double check in case they decide to start playing silly bs!)
