Just wondered if anyone knows of any good deals with the Nokia 8800?
Been with O2 CPW for years, and want to upgrade my phone. Currently paying £35 a month.
Just wondered what deals I could be looking at, as if possible I'd like the phone for free. If that wasn't possible, then I wondered what the minimum amount someone has paid O2 CPW for this phone?0 -
Just got offered 10 months FREE on a 12 month. 400 mins, 500 texts.
Didn't accept but didn't get DRN number.
What should I do next?0 -
just tried cancelling contract, turned down several offers and then was offered 250 mins/275 texts for £5 per month, 18 months, keep same phone.0

Disconnection Ref No0 -
how soon before your contract expires can you get the DRN?
i keep calling and they told me to call on the 30th day before it ends, which is codswallop as then i wont be able to give the 30days required notice!
am not getting into another contract with these guys!0 -

I don't know the practicalities, but you should be able to give notice at any time (you will however be liable for all agreed costs until the end of the contact). I have read your comment before - it seems that CPW advise customers that you have to call 30 days before the end of the contract - not sure how that stands legally as you could terminate the contract at any time before then or in theory give them advance notice that you want to end the contract on a specific date so long as you pay all remaining charges (but sure someone else will know the process better than me!).

They will give you the DRN no more than 34 days ahead of the expiry date.

Call back and speak to a different CS as they seem to have different deals? I did which is why I ended up with 11 free/12 month contract on £40 a month tariff with no handset, 3 claims (though STILL waiting for it to be confirmed in writing  ). If this pays off CPW direct seem to be easier to deal with than e2save and others.

You don't actually need a DRN. I didn't.
I just sent a recorded letter to the Southampton address, quoting the terms and conditions of the contract (30 days written notice) and requesting that they disconnect me at the end of my 12 months.
I followed this up by email a few days later, quoting my recorded post ref. number and asking them to confirm that this will happen. They did.0
