How is this - no phone, 11 month free/12 month contract, 600 mins/500 texts (£40 per month), £440 cashback on £480 contract claimed in 4/8/12 with CPW directly (they send a voucher out with the bill, 60 days to claim) - works out at just over £3 per month (but would have spent at least £20 on Special Delivery if I have gone with one of the other retailers). Was on £35 per month, 11 months free/12 month contract so not a bad deal?

Yeah not bad at all - go for it.

When you receive your new sim - just check the invoice and please let us know if your invoice states the "11 month Free" offer.

I got my sim but got a standard generic invoice with no mention of any cash back deal.

I did ring them up and they did confirm i was on the 11 month free offer

    thanks

If no joy - he said i can pop down to a CPW shop and ask them to show me what they've got on screen and maybe get a print.

I did this once and the CPW staff couldn't locate the details on the system. Not that the offer wasn't put on the system but the CPW staff in-store didn't know how to bring the information up on the system.
  • Hi guys

It's nearly time for me to "cancel".

Anyone got any new deals since 16th?

My brother rung up and got zilch. They happily offered him his DNR number.
  • Just managed to get the 500 mins/600 texts deal mentioned above completely free. £40 a month, with it all back at 4/8/12 months.

In writing too. It replaces an 11 month free contract, and we didn't have any problems with cashback. In fact, we took our bills to the local CPW shop, and they photocopied them and sent them off for us. So we didn't even have to pay postage!

The irony was, we used deals from One stop phone shop, and e2save to barter, and the guy said that they were unreliable companies for cash back! We did point out that as they were the same company, he was talking himself out of a deal!

Got 75 minutes and 200 texts a month for £5.
12 month contract no new phone, seemed good enough so accepted.

I got a call from the o2 retentions department and they offered me 50 minutes and 100 texts a month completely free for 12 months, no phone and no cashback.

They said you will receive a monthly bill but it will state on it paid by CPW.

    Anyone had this?

Bother - I have been overcharged by £40 for the year. Never mind, £40 isn't bad - when you say you have it in writing - you have it now or you have been told it will be confirmed in writing? I am still waiting for written confirmation and it is now beyond the 7 day cancellation period - I hope that I have not been stitched up.

  • We got a letter in the post 2 days later.

It was basically an invoice, that mentioned the 480 quid, and lots of zeros elsewhere.

Though it did mention BT Cellnet, which is a bit worrying!

Yes, I got the invoice that stated the new contract - what I have not received is anything outlining the new cashback deal (ie unless I have missed it, nowhere does the invoice say 11 months free on 12 months).
