  • sorry to repeat the question, but can anyone help me with what I need to do and who I need to call.

What do you think is the minimum deal I can accept?

Only you know what is acceptable to you! However, when and if you do a deal with them be sure that they give you the full terms of the deal in writing. If you look back over this thread you'll see what the average deal type is.

Just out of interest, has anyone actually been offered free unlimited data bolt on from CPW O2 Retentions? Normally this costs £7.50 per month.

Excellent, do that, it'll save you a lot of hassle further down the line, I'm sure. Oh, and if they wont or say that they can't put it in writing, then do be suspicious.

Now managed to get my deal confirmed by email with all the cashback details. I have printed out a copy to keep for the future. Thanks again for all your help:A

After a thrill ride through 4 different assistants got offered a k850i on 400min/400 texts for £25 18 months, plus a £50 cashback.

Ok deal I think, save me the trouble of going through
dialaphone which seems a bit better at the moment.

I spoke to 2 different people. One tried to flog me a Virgin Sim on 6 months contract 150+150, which with cash back worked out free. This was without a new phone.

Another was 18 month contract without new phone. 400mins and 1000texts for £30 a month but account would be auto credited with £360 so worked out £10 a month.

I went with a 18 month contract without new phone. 275mins and 250 texts for £5 a month with no cash back involved.

If you don't need a new phone, the O2 (direct) Simplicity tariffs look very appealing. If CPW/O2 can't match or better them, ask for your PAC!

    Sim only - Online 15 200 mins, 400 texts + unlimited O2 to O2 calls.
    Online 20 400 mins, 1000 texts + unlimited O2 to O2 calls.
    Online 25 600 mins, 1000 texts + unlimited O2 to O2 calls

OR pick one of the following to replace the O2 calls -
    Unlimited Web Bolt On
    Unlimited weekend calls
    Unlimited landline calls
    200 extra anytime minutes
    Unlimited texts

These options only available to Online 25 or above.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

200mins/400 texts/unlimited browsing (that's not really unlimited when you look into it  ), no phone - £10 month (apparently tariff is normally £25 but they would autocashback £15 per month)/18 month contract. Browsing at £7.50 a month means the tariff is effectively discounted down to £2.50 so not too bad a deal (but haven't confirmed - still looking!).

  • My 12 month contract with o2 CPW ends shortly. I've received 2 calls from 01925555601. I answered the second, a man asked to speak to me by name. I asked who's calling - and he put the phone down! I then googled the no. and found this thread! It was o2 CPW! I can't see them retaining many of their customers with that kind of customer care!

I got a call from them today too. Offered to reduce my line rental to £30 mth (from £35) and £390 cashback with no phone upgrade (I have K800i). I queried this and said so you're paying me £30 to keep the line..... oh no its a 18 month contract. I was like Nah you're ok mate.

Perhaps they should check and see that you can get a new k800i via e2save (owned by them) with 10 months free on the same tariff ... oh and on a 12 month contract too.

Tip here make sure you know what you're getting into as if I hadn't queried it and get it in writing. This board has taught me lots of things and I'll be cancelling and see what the retentions team can offer me on a 12 monther I think.....
