CPW O2 Retentions Thread

I was after the Nokia 6500 slide phone and I was thinking of moving to T Mobile where it is on offer for £15 pcm on their Flext 20 plan (at a cost of £89.99).
Just rang CPW O2 retentions and was offered a number of options:
No new phone, but the opportunity to go on a £15pcm "no tie in" deal with no contract, with more minutes than I was on currently (I turned this down as I want a new phone).
A Nokia 6500 on an 18 month contract for £25 pcm with £200 cashback to be claimed at months 6 and 12 (offering 200 mins x-net, 400 texts and 2000 weekend minutes per month).
A Nokia 6300 on a 12 month contract, at £30pcm for the same package, but with £200 credit put into my account so effectively the 1st 7 months would be free.
I pushed a bit more and was finally offered (and have accepted) the much better
Nokia N95 (refurb) at £25pcm with £100 cashback (at months 6 and 12), on an 18 month contract offering 200 x-net minutes, 400 texts and 2000 weekend minutes, plus free Voicemail and international roaming.
I'm pretty pleased to have cut my monthly bills so much and got a decent phone in to boot!0 -
I have just called and was given 11 months cashback on a 12 month contract with 200 mins and 200 texts, no handset but I was very happy with the current one anyway, very happy with the deal0

Sorted my deal out a couple of days ago managed to get 400 mins and 500 texts on a 12 month contract with 11 months free via cashback. Didn't get a new phone but more than happy with deal. Thanks to others for posting their deals which helped me to negotiate this deal :T0

Did you manage to get it all in writing?0 -
No but thanks for this I will phone the guy I spoke to in the morning and make sure they put it in writing. I have got his name and direct number.
Excellent, do that, it'll save you a lot of hassle further down the line, I'm sure. Oh, and if they wont or say that they can't put it in writing, then do be suspicious.0 -
I was offered 8 months free on a 12 month contract (£35 per month) ... time to request my PAC me thinks (and yes, I understand that is not as straightforward as it should be).

My 12 month contract with o2 CPW ends shortly. I've received 2 calls from 01925555601. I answered the second, a man asked to speak to me by name. I asked who's calling - and he put the phone down! I then googled the no. and found this thread! It was o2 CPW! I can't see them retaining many of their customers with that kind of customer care!
Anyway, thanks a lot, if I choose to re-negotiate a deal with them I've got this excellent thread to refer to for advice! :T0 -

It's a call centre in Warrington. CPW & TalkTalk share the premises I think.0 -
I have two phones with them (for my 2 sons) due to end in a ew weeks. currently have 250 mins 100 texts and 10 free on a 12 month contract.
I want to increase the minutes on one of the phone, but the other one is fine. I will need one new phone as one of the old one is not working.
What should I accept as a minumum and who do I need to speak to please?0
