No one had any retention deals from CPWO2 since August?
Here is what I was offered today...
Option 1.
£40/mo 12 month contract, SIM only - 12 months free by redemption.
Option 2.
£35/mo 12 month contract, free k750i - £360 cashback by redemption.
I have a few days before I can request my PAC, so will call back then and push them a bit.
Cheers, Des.0 -

I took the £40 a month deal. Seemed pretty good to me - considering ofcourse the hassle with cashback with other reatilers. TBH this deals not very good, but not bad either.
They did offer me the £40 deal wiht Nokia 6300 free for 9 months - ie £120 over the year. I didn't take it - £120 for a Nokia 6300?? I can buy it for £59!!!!!0 -
Update to my CPW saga... Mostly my stoopid fault though not knowing when my contract ended
Okay it seems like I really put a spanner in the works.... I phoned retention dept after reain on here that I need a DRN and told him the story about the guy saying I need to send a letter off to cancel the contract. Anyway I found out that the contract didn't end till 15th September and the guy that rang me was someone from outbound - or something or other... He then tried to offer me some better deals - said I would think about it and he said ring back on the 10th August and speak to me then if you are going to cancel or take up the offers then.
Fair enough. I thought, well they aint going to cancel the contract without a DRN so the letter would get binned. WRONG.... I got 2 text messages today giving me a PAC number to be used before 2nd Sept. Argghhhhhhh. I dunno whether to ring them again and see whats going on, or hold on till the 10th Sept ring up plead ignorant and say I want a DRN.
How can they give me a PAC number before the contract ends on 15th Sept? Unless..... I have paid up till that date and can only use the sim up till the 2nd/its ported out...
God only knows whether I'll get the last cashback that I need to claim on 12th month...
What'd'ya think about that?
Quite certain using PAC means you get disconnected. So ring up say virgin and ask them when you should port - because they give you a specific date when your number will move over to new network, so this means you should make the date that it will switch over the same as your contract ending date.0 -
Hi
I am on the 11th month of a one year contract with OSPS. Finishes on the 29th of November. Just upgraded and was told that my new tariff will start from 11th on November. I have to get £385 by cashback. Can you tell me the terms and conditions? Do they send details by post? Is there any cashback forms that have to be sent and what is the customer care number please.
Thanks in advance for your kind advice.

For your information I have three deals on the table. These are all 'no phone' deals (I don't want a new one.)
18 month contract, 750 mins, 100 text for £35 a month with cashback of £385 split over months 6/12/and 18. That is effectively just under £14 a month.
or
18 month, 400 mins, 1000 text for £35 a month with direct account credit of £300. That is effectively £18 a month. But no admin for me.
or
12 month 200 mins, 200 texts for £30 a month, with the first 9 months free. This is effectively £7.50 a month.
The 12 month deal is my preferred option at the moment but I'd like more minutes.
EDIT:
I've now been offered a 12 month 'FREE contract' with 50 mins a month and 100 txts
or
200 mins, 200 txt for £30 a month, 12 month contract, £300 credit, ie £5 a month - I decided to take this one as it meets my immediate needs.0 -
i phoned up cpw o2 the other day
and the guy told me about the current deals
they were okay, but nothing spectacular.
he recommeneded that i stay on my current contract and to phone back before the end of the month. this is because cashback deals will be stopping (because i told him i didn't want a cashback deal but a credit deal). he told me that cpw have decided to stop cashback deals, and deals such as
9 months half price and so on will be charged to you as they say
so the debit your account for half the cost instead of cashback
sounds good to me.
he offered to phone me back though, i said yeah but i doubt that he'll phone back probably forgotten lol0 -
Doesn't sound "good" to me at ALL! Would mean cold turkey for me by Christmas...!0

Well I got my offer from retentions over the weekend which I took up as they bettered the O2 deal I was going to move to
I had 18 Month contract o2
£25 a month
200 mins 400 Texts
Free anytime 02 & Landline calls
and the new LG Viewty KU990
basically it was better than I expected so took it.
I had got through to the team leader as I found out after, so probably could have got more tbh.0 -
My retention deal was :
No phone - Airtime only for 12 months.
800 Mins and 500 texts for £45 per month.
£500 cashback in total if I send month 4 / 8 / 12 bills to them.
No time limit on when I send bills in (ie could send bills 4 & 8 in on month 11 and still get my cashback)
This is not the best deal I have ever had, but with the confusion surrounding the pricematch deals, no feedback yet on Mobiles to your Door, and the trouble I had getting all my cashback from The Mobileshop, I fancy a quiet 12 months with generous terms and conditions.
As I have 7 days to cancel this contract, I will be keeping a close eye on this thread to see if I need to renegotiate0 -
Out of interest, have they confirmed that offer in writing? I am so suspicious of them nowadays after other retention comments and the things I know they're up to I think I would want it in blood!0
