    Hi,

Thanks for reply. They took 40 days for my statements as well. What stage are you at with them?
  • Hi Emmajoe ,
I'm just about to go to the Financial Ombudsman , I've heard nothing from them at all for ages.

Hi all, Have been battling with citi since last november, have had all sorts of replies including the "dozen cases" , "hearing held in salford if you press for court action", "dont accept FSA ruling" and more. I have also told them that I will accept the difference between the £12 and the £25, which amounts to £391.00, ( original claim £835.00 ) but I have not heard back from them after my LBA. My next problem is affording the court fees! and do I press for the full amount now as they have not had the decency to reply to my last offer?
    Any advice??

    Hi mac saver,
Ive just finished filling in my FO form ready to sent off first thing monday , , part of the reason was to aviod the court fees as its free , in my opinion, and thats all it is,after reading all i could from this site is to down go that route first rather than pay

Hi hampsterpoo (cant believe I just typed that)
Thinking of going down the FO route due to a total lack of funds myself just worried abouit the timespan, heard they were very busy!! Are you claiming for the full amount or accepting the difference ?? Thet are so so smug I begrudge them getting away with a penny. Has anyone succesfully claimed the full amount from CITI yet?? would be interested to know.
Good luck to everyone with all claims dont give up and back down to the bull**** they try to fob you off with!
  • Hi Mac Saver ,
I'm going for the full amount + interest, I'm not worried about the time span citi have been the most dismisive of the lot , so beacuse of that I'll hold out for it all.
    good luck

  • Basically yes and tell them you will report to the Information Commissioner if they don't comply with your request.

Thanks for your advice. I've now reported them to the ICO so we'll see what happens. I'm concerned that because my card before 2004 was something else (an MBMA or something) and changed to Citicard in March 2004 (nothing to do with me). Are they going to try and withhold my data because they took over another company? Surely that's not right. My copy of the March 2004 statement shows a balance transfer of -£800 from another account. Again this was nothing on my part, something to do with the card changing.

I hope this makes sense, it doesn't to me!

Just wondering , now I've received a letter from the FOS saying "we are currently receiving very high volumes of enquires and will provide you with a full response as soon as we can"

Does anyone have any idea how long that might be?
