Back in May/June this year I sent Citicard the template letter I got from here asking for my charges back (btw this is my husband's card, I'm just doing the work for him). They sent back a letter saying they changed their charges to £12 and that amount has stood up in court and is fair. OH opened the account in February 2007 and we are talking small amounts here. Balance on account is £400 but charges + interest are £204. I am tomorrow sending a CCA request to buy more time really because this account has been passed to 1st Credit. My question is: if we want to pursue the refund who do we take to court - 1st Credit? Does anyone have any dealings with them?

You still pursue Citicard through the courts for your refund of charges.

  • s-citi card update ,
on monday we got a letter from the dca , we used to pay , saying we needed to contact them urgently ,
knowing that we had been paid out FULLY by citi, minus the DCA owed amount we rang them but they were of course they have no record of being paid by citi, even though the FOS & citi sent letters saying it would be paid at the same time as us getting paid out.

rang the FOS who when asked what do we do now said , erm not sure ,

today we got a letter from the DCA's soliciter, saying that we have 7 days to pay the full owing amount beofre action is taken ,

mrs hampsterpoo rang and got no joy from them was even told that even though the letter was dated the 10th it was in fact sent out on the 8th , before they 'tried to contact by phone us' (funny that no recorded missed calls for a week),
the DCA said that the lady who was dealing with it at the dca is away on holiday till thurs maybe friday.
They have previously said they have it on the system that it was there waiting to clear, this was the same time as we recieved or long cleared cheque.

any one with ideas (please keep them clean ) as to what I can say to them tommorow as to stop all this cr*p ASAP.
    thanks in advance
