I am worried that they might come round to my house now. Has anyone actually had experience of these people turning up at the door?
Thanks.
Let's say they come around to your house (which they never do) - what do you think they could do?
The answer is...
Nothing. Absolutely nothing - they have no right of entry, they have no right to even come into your garden if you tell them to get lost.
I wouldn't worry about it because it will never happen - it will not happen because the business model is based on the cost of sending out some letters and trying to pull in suckers - sending actual people out to houses is costly - which is why they avoid doing this at all costs.0 -
I have been receiving these letters for over a year now - do they ever stop??
I have 2 in less than a week. The last one wasn't even finished-it cut off mid-sentence and was left at that.
The one today say that they refer to previous "hand delivered letters" (all have arrived with postmarks in the usual post, so this is a lie.)
I'm getting sick of the sight of them.0 -
Just treat them like junk mail then....For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
It just goes to show how desperate life must be in PPC Land, for which we should be rejoicing.
It wouldn't surprise me if they have a BPA/POPLA/VCS v HMRC calendar which, like the Mayan one, clearly marks the end of the world as they know it (May 4th or 5th 2013), and they are busy trying to fill their boots before the world ends.
Hopefully.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
I have had TWO more letters yesterday and today! The first says it is a "Second Application" (despite being about the 30th letter they've sent) and the one from today says they're about to pass me on to the Doorstep Collection Team. I just keep thinking of the Daz Doorstep Challenge so I'm expecting Danny Baker any day now0

They're having laugh! "Doorstep" collection team? No collection agency can just turn up on your doorstep for a start! They need your permission for that!
I would send the latest two letters back, w/o a stamp but marked "Payment Inside." There won't be of course but they won't know that until they have paid RM first. And it won't cost you a thing. Of course they will know you got them but so what? After so many the goons must realise by now you are no mug!Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Can I join in?
I've been getting letters from PS&P ltd for a few weeks (the same as the ones that are pictured here) relating to a CPP ticket I got in April 2011.
I've never responded to any of the letters from CPP or the ones that came on pink paper.
Today I've received this:
FORMAL NOTIFICATION
OUTSTANDING MONEY DUE TO Car Parking Partnership
We are about to pass your details to our DOORSTEP COLLECTION TEAM with instructions to collect the AMOUNT OUTSTANDING OF £116
As we would prefer to arrange a convenient time to collect te balance due, you shold contact our office on 0844 815 3667 to make the appropriate arrangements
SHOULD WE NOT HERE FROM YOU WE WILL HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO CALL AT A DATE AND TIME CONVENIENT TO US IN THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS
TO MAKE A PAYMENT USING YOUR CREDIT CARD blah blah blah
Sorry I havent the facility to upload a pic of it at present, but I've done bold/caps/underlining in all the same places.
I've no intention of paying, what worries me most is tat they may come when my elderly mum is home alone and con her into paying on my behalf - does anyone know if they will actally visit?0 -
All empty threats. They never send anyone out. They are relying on people believing their stupid letters and paying up.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
