Either ignore it, or ask to see a copy of the court judgement.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

Wow, quite looking forward to ticking these off. I'm still at the ICC Legal Services pink letter stage - waiting for the "immediate legal proceedings" they threatened for over a month ago. :rotfl:
Would be useful to get all these PS&P template letters up on the letter chain thread. Could someone oblige?Ethical moneysaver0 -
Hello,
I have had many letters like this threatening action. What are thoughts on writing a hugely sarcastic and inquisitive letter to them and telling them you won't be paying so please stop writing...save the rain forest etc?
Thanks0 -
They'll write even more, the only paper they are interested is ones with the queens head on them, they don't give a monkeys about the rain forest, they probably never heard of itExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

This will only prolong the attempts to scam you.0 -
I received the exact same letter this morning.. rang them (possibly a mistake) gave false name and said person no longer lived there. They said address would be removed from the database. This fine was from Uni over 2 years ago!! which started out at £40. now £96..pathetic. Stupid thing is I actually had permission to be on the Uni premises at the time!! My blood pressure soars through the roof when ever I have contact with these peole as I know my son was duped by so called door step bailiffs! no way will they get past me!0

What will/can happen if I refuse to pay?
Your continued failure to acknowledge our requests for payment could result in your account being passed to our Doorstep Recovery division, which will result in you receiving a visit from one of our national Doorstep Field Collectors. Should you fail to establish contact with our Field Collectors, we will have no other option but to prepare a comprehensive report, which we will forward to our Client with our recommendations of the continued recovery options available to them for the collection of your debt. This may result in our Client issuing legal proceedings against you for the recovery of the debt outstanding
Note the word...could..basically they have no power to do anything other than try to get you to pay.... This was also taken from their website ...
What is a Doorstep Field Collector?
A Doorstep Field Collector is employed by PS&P to specifically visit our Client’s customers to collect outstanding balances or arrears due. They can agree and set up suitable repayment plans for debts owed, however this is subject to a payment arrangement being maintained.
Please note that if your account has been passed to our Doorstep Collectors, your account is at a very critical stage in the Debt Collection Process and you must either speak with the Collector in charge of your case, or contact our Customer Contact Centre.
No mention of external collectors team or asessment of goods. These guys are breaking some rules for sure and I shall be passing this information on to the OFT..0 -
Hi, thanks for this thread as I've been getting the same letters through myself. But I have no idea what they're for as it never mentions the actual place / time / date of the fine. I can only assume it's for my University car park (where I work!) but don't know when it was.
I've been throwing them away as I get them (initially I just thought it was junk / scam mail) but I am worried that they might come round to my house now. Has anyone actually had experience of these people turning up at the door?
Thanks.0 -
I've never heard of it happening.
A poster did come on here a while ago and claimed it happened to them, but when pushed for information they never responded and disappeared off the board.Je Suis Cecil.0
