The only thing that worries us is that if he does smash our windows... which my husband said he wouldnt out past him - is that even with the text he wouldnt get done... without proof they would arrest him but prob never charge.
I wouldnt get another lodger - this was purely to help him out and was just lucky for us that we could use his money to go on debt rather than everyday bills...
I just dont want to get into a t*t for tat thing - if someone says he has said this I will correct them if it is lies, but I am not going to gossip about it. At the end of the day, my take on the situation now is that he has chosen this girl over his friends and I just hope he doesnt live to regret it. Stupidly, probably, I do feel sorry for him... part of me hopes/thinks he may think he has gone to far but is too proud to say sorry and just bulldozing along! Who knows......
Atleast I can make my naked runs to the laundry pile once more.... :-00 -
If you feel you absolutely must refund his money give him a series of post-dated cheques with cheque card number on the back.
I think it's a blessing your other friends will be there so they can see with their own eyes what's going on.
If he kicks off just keep repeating 'this is a family house, we told you when you moved that we didn't want you having women to stay overnight around our children'.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
He's bluffing. Ignore him. Tell him you'll put his stuff outside for him. If he kicks off when he fetches it just call the police and do not open the door to him. He will then have form so if your windows are broken the police will know where to go, and if he wants his money he will have to sue you.
Don't be intimidated by this idiot but do use the £300 to change your locks.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I hope you have already done this.0 -
If your debt is such that you need a lodger, would it not have made more sense to move to a three bed house?0

Very good idea.
He could easily have got a copy made and if he's the type to threaten putting in windows, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he would consider doing other things too.
I certainly wouldn't be happy just assuming he'll give back his only key.Herman - MP for all!

If your debt is such that you need a lodger, would it not have made more sense to move to a three bed house?Would it be silly to point out the topic of the thread is this chap and his behaviour?
Especially as cord has already said -I wouldnt get another lodger - this was purely to help him out and was just lucky for us that we could use his money to go on debt rather than everyday bills...
The debt was manageable without the lodger - his payments were just a nice extra.0 -
Wow, he sounds delightful! Good luck with whatever you do, frankly I'd be tempted to tell him to sod off, but then I have no problem calling bullies bluffs.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
