No, that is a VAT invoice. That is 40p.

Are you still persisting with the fantasy that the attempt you knocked up is a real receipt despite the many fatal flaws with it ?
    Bless.

An invoice, detailed or otherwise needs to show the VAT and VAT number of the business, make sure you put that on your next photoshop attempt

That will be 60p thank you! ;)

Yay, an extra 20p for the VAT number :j

I bet they also charge by the inch, the receipt for a weekly shop is £3.50

You have to get a 2nd invoice to detail the VAT on the first one.

The guy is just doing his job, id rather staff do they job properly and ask if i want a bag, a receipt or do i have a nectar. Some staff may have been told the reason why but the other staff may have missed being told what the reason was for being asked about a receipt.

Yes, of course he is. He is the manager, and doesn't know why he or his staff has to do this. I felt sorry for him as he was a bit embarrassed.

Going to drop this now as this thread gone totally off the wall and I have more pressing things to deal with.

Thanks to all for constructive comments.
  • There's no legal requirement to supply a receipt unless it's requested I believe by the buyer.

I have asked admin to now lock this thread as the answers to my original post have totally gone ballistic.

Thanks to all who contributed to the original post in a constructive manner.
  • This is not ballistic azzabazza...it's a bit of fun really and not particularly important in any scheme of things.
