Virgin Media Deals - Deal Comparison Thread!

I phoned retentions yesterday and managed to get :

TV - Freeview
BB - 2mb
Phone - Talk unlimited
(threre is also a discount of 85% on any international numbers I dial and also a 25% discount on any mobile numbers I dial)

All for £19.95 a month. :j I did have to commit myself for another 12 month period with virgin media although the offer is available to me for life!

Do you mean freeview, as in VM are not supplying TV to you at all? If so, haven't they just given you the 2 for £20 deal they advertise everywhere or am I missing something?

we got the £5.50 for calls free as a good will thing. Is it worth ringing and asking for a better deal on the BB.

We also have got sky in August last yr with the intention of getting free sky broadband and the sky sports which was on offer. But sky is awful we are tied in till August and I don't want to get a BT phone line as I ahte sky and I am paying too much on these items.

Thanks for that, I don't think i'll be able to get that as I currently have a phone line with them and it says "Available to new customers and existing non-telephone customers taking up a phone service".

Was paying too much for my bundle, so thought i neg new one, was paying line rental £11, starter tv £5.50, BB 4meg £25 = £41, phoned retentions said how pee'd off i was that people getting much better deals and after a bit of moaning got L phone, XL TV, 4 meg BB, V-Box downstairs std box upstairs for £45 per month. i only did it because read all your threads. thanx.

If you just have a cable phone they will give you free tv if you ask.

Called them up again today but they wouldn't budge, I've currently got analogue TV, 2MB broadband and basic phone for £22 a month (I think). The only offer they suggested was all 3 services (digital TV) for £20 on a new 12 month tariff.

Any ideas?
