i'm looking at something like this, have been told i can get it (but not in cable area) do you have to pay BT line rental?0 -
Broadband: 2MB
Phone service: Unlimited
Amount per month:(From 1st May) £29.95 or £34.95 if I don't pay by DD0 -
I called up and since I have only the broadband with Virgin, the guy told me if I take up the 24/7 phone also, he can offer me both for £34.95.
A bit skeptical since the majority of our calls made to 0845 and 0870 numbers. Virigin charge a 6p connection fee for each call... whereas with BT, we got charged £4.70 (including connection fees) for all the calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers.
I'm sooooooo confused. Any help would be appreciated.0 -

£52.50 per month

I just called up to see if they could reduce my bill any further and was told that I was actually paying £43.45 for this package and not £52.50. That's even better!! So I didn't bother asking if I could reduce it any further. I've not had my bill in since I changed to the XL package that's why I didn't know that I was actually on a cheaper deal. :j0 -

Similarly I've got BB : L ( 4 Meg) that was meant to be £12.50 pm for a year but went upto £25 after 3 months. When I queried this I was told they only do deals for 3 months but they would reduce it to £12.50 for another 3 months only.
So now I'm back to £25 pm.
I don't want phone, I'm stuck on mobile contracts at the moment and won't give up sky. So I just want to pay less than £25 for 4Mg BB!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I did it again. Thank you everyone.
Noticed my deal that I had negotiated was coming to an end when I received my latest bill from Virgin Media. Was paying:-
TV - XL - £15.50
Broadband - M - £13.00
Phone (line rental) £11.00
Callreject, Voicemail, Caller Display - £4.25
Total £43.25 per month
Have just rung Virgin Media (option cancellations) and they put me onto the £30 per month deal with only extra charge being for Callreject etc. so now reduced indefinately to £34.25. I even have a credit for my latest bil which he amended there and then! I was also assured there would be no changes to any of the services (I was concerned I may lose some of the channels).
Yipee!!! :j :j :j :jThere is always light within the dark0 -
We were paying £18 for 2MB, we do not have anything else, I have just phoned (though I have tried to phone many times and got fed up of waiting)and was offered the same 2MB for £10. Didn't have to haggle which was fortunate as I am a novice at haggling though I am now experimenting with this. I find it incredible that customers who do not ask, do not get. However I am just wondering- is this deal the best I can get?
:rolleyes:0
