    BB 4meg
    Phone 24/7

    £16.50 for 3 months....hmmmmm

    BEWARE

In Feb I calld retentions dept and as part of a deal (£10/month) they upgraded me to 10meg BB for life (they said)

That lasted for 1 month - I'm now looking at a bill for £35 for just the BB (the full price)! The sad thing is I don't even need 10 meg, I just took it because he was 'throwing it in'

The even sadder thing is - I believed them and didn't check my bills - I have 3x£35 for Mar. Apr, May.

Basically it's cost me more than if I didn't call them at all...grrrr

It's taken me a while to sort this but here goes !

I think I'm paying out WAY over the top here ( and that doesn't include the £34.00 worth of overcharges on my previous 3 bills that I have just managed to reclaim !! )

    I'm currently on
    • TV: XL @ £20.50
    • Broadband: M @ £18.00
    • Phone: Line rental + Talk Unlimited @ £11.00 + £9.95
    • Mobile: 300 Mins, 300 Txts @ £10.00
    • No extras
Total cost per month: £69.45 !!!

Have been a customer for years and years. No fixed contracts.

I guess I would need to stick with XL TV as the kids would like to keep Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon ? Is there a cheaper alternative way to get these chanels ?

Broadband M is fine really, though would accept anything more for free ! I need to stick with VM for this as my business relies a lot on emails and I couldn't afford to be without them whilst changing provider. Unless there is a simple way to do this ?

I don't need Talk Unlimited as I can use the mobile.

I would like to keep the mobile but appreciate that there are other ways of achieving this at a cheaper cost ?

Any extras that can be trown in for a good price would be good ;)

    Please help !!!

    Thx

    Has anybody else seen this?
    http://www.virgin.net/allyours/talk/
what they are basically offering is the same as talk talk?
but this is only if you get their service through a phone line as opposed to a cable! how does this make sense?
You get 8mb broadband, and evening and weekend calls for £14.99! i'm paying £35 for 2mb broadband and evening and weekends!
    WHAT?

This is the non cable service ex Virgin Net which requires you to have a BT line at £11 a month.

£35 is a lot for what your getting, have you got XL TV.

Call them and see if they wiill give you a better deal. New Customers are getting BB, plus XL phone for £20 a month at moment.

    I really wanted:

    L evening and weekends phone
    L 4mb broadband.

But he wouldn't have it. I tried twice, and they wouldn't budge. It's also for 12 months.

    I eventually took this option:-

    BB 2MB
    TV XL
    Sky Sports and Movies
    Phone XL
    V+ Box
    Old STB Upstairs
    No installation Charge

    £57.45 a month indefinitely.

Unless you are constantly downloading films etc. I can't understand why
    anyone really needs 10-20MB BB.
I miss the Sky Travel Channels and hope they will one day return -
This is my only objectiion with Virgin as they have no Travel Channels
    to speak of.
The on Demand service is quiet handy and getting alot bigger.

So thats just with the free tv then?
When I phone I will try and get that instead of mine with xl tv as I don't have the international and talk mobile on mine... What is talk mobile anyway is it just fir calling mobiles or having a virgin one?
    Thanx
