In VM recent deal TV(M) comes free with any Phone packages as standard.
For instance, if you take BB and Phone for 2 for £20, they will give you a free TV M (comes free with the phone), but if you choose BB and TV (or Phone and TV) for 2 for £20, then you will really get 2 for £20.

    Furthermore, in order to make 3 for £30 more compatitive than '2 for £20' (i.e. BB M + Phone M + TV M), VM offers BB M + Phone M + TV XL for £30.

That was the first reply I got, but rang again & got through to someone else, said I was moving to sky as I already had TV with them & would take the phone & broadband too. He said he'd see what he could do, so I pointed out I had sky plus & wanted to keep sky one anyway which would cost me on top of any virgin package, so he threw the box in.

Now I'm panicking a bit though cos I need to know if they need to get to the box on the inside of the wall to wire up or if they split the cable off the cable modem cable (which I'd assumed). Can anyone help please? URGENTLY!! They're installing tomorrow & I won't be in, my partner can't lift anything (bad back) & there's a huge sideboard in the way!!! Has anyone who's had it installed already help please?

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Why do people stay?

I got a good retention deal
    The overall service is good
    Rock solid BB
Cheap line rental (inc in bundle) , I dont use the phone much before anyone goes on about call charges
The lack of $ky 1 is my only gripe with the TV package
Video On Demand is a good service
V+ box is cool , 160gig HDD , high def with good upscaling , 3 tuners

Cant base everyones opinions on 1 lazy sod on a internet site !
Its all about free will , if the service is bad , go somewhere else ! Remember VM have reported increases in BB , TV and mobile customers in the last quarter, only the phone service has lost
Or maybe VM could just roll over and die and $ky becomes the only major provider for pay-TV , BT becomes the only major provider for phone and BB and they can just start charging ppl what they want and they'll have no major competitors !!!???

Having read the article and other recent articles in the media and on the net,it appears they have major problems.
