Hardly the same thing at all, what a ridiculous Analogy. Nobody is stealing anything from anyone? All party's involved have an agreement. Maybe you need to take your concerns up with the national trusts involved, and tell them how immoral and deceptive you believe it is. They are obviously very happy with the arrangement. Sour grapes is it, maybe you've paid over the odds, and could have saved a bit and done the honest thing and paid sky to realign your dish.your morals must have been going through a rough patch on that day.
I can't be bothered with you anymore. So good luck with your reply, I'm sure when they've all stopped giggling in the nt office they will reply.

For one, I am not a member of the National Trust currently.

Two. I have taken my concern up with the NT - see if you can keep up - remember I asked them whether what you doing was fair?

Three. Let's see what the NT do say when they reply.
  • Can we keep on topic without arguing please?

    Thanks!

The nt carparks we have parked have an attendant, to whom we show our card. Haven't visited a non attended carpark yet, maybe just leave the member card on dashboard?

But if you leave the Card on the dashboard, you cant get in, can you!

Not sure as I said I've never parked in a non attended car park. Most nt properties have either attendants or free parking, just carparks I've parked in have just had attendants .not sure the nt sticker is a pass is it?

All the car parks round here Kent/Surrey are non attended, and yes you get a car park sticker, any how even if you tell the first attendant, what happens when he goes to lunch, etc. Perhaps you've just been lucky so far?

    Roddydogs,
for an extra NZD5 you can get a second card from the NZ trust. You could then presumably leave the second card in the car and get in to the property with the first card. This way you dont then have to worry about attendants leaving etc.

Not sure what the problem is though? If its a non attended carpark, either leave card on dash or, if you get a ticket show them the card.if its a machined carpark perhaps they explain what to do there! Or ask national trust direct what they would like you to do. I can't do right for doing wrong here! I'm not bothering anymore. Jez no ones got a gun to anyone's head!

Here is the response from the NT

    Dear Sir/Madam

    Thank you for your email.

I can confirm National Trust is aware of this. I have forwarded your feedback to National Trust.

They will have a reciprocal visiting arrangement but the New Zealand member won't receive our thrice yearly magazines, the handbook or receive a car sticker, they are unable to park in our car parks for free.

On behalf of the National Trust, thank you for notifying us.

    Kind Regards,
