Saga has also increased their easy access ISA to 2.5%. It doesn't accept transfers in either.

Saga and Marcus are the same thing. Saga is just a rebadged version.
    Both provided by Goldman Sachs.

That's a great rate but unfortunately they don't accept transfers in...
It's also a bit cynical of Marcus, they know rates are going up this week...

Sums them up, in process of removing my cash isa to coventry @ 2.25

Still prefer to move, they still send a cheque out for isa transfer out, unlike most providers these days, my other isa took around 12 hours to move from virgin to coventry !

Don't want to concern you but  my ISA took over a month to transfer from Marcus to Cov !

Hopefully they work on responding to secure messages in the calm before the storm when they next release ISAs/FRBs. I sent a message on the 26th and it’s still not been replied to…

spoken to coventry already, and to marcus to confirm the exact date they sent the cheque out

So i'm ok with the delay as coventry have said they will back date the interest to the date on the marcus cheque

  • It's probably time to start fixing ISAs, Providers seem to be pulling many of the best rates. I really wanted to wait until a couple of weeks hence as I am expecting to see interest rate rise tomorrow.

While it's a big drop, I wouldn't be too spooked about the Santander rates decreasing - they're a provider who very rarely get to the top of the ISA tables, so it's not too surprising to see them drop back out again. I noticed that Shawbrook also dropped the rate on their 1 year fix recently - have there been any others ?

While the best fixed rates have stalled a little in recent weeks, the general trend does still seem to be upwards. There are quite a few providers in the 3.80 to 3.90% region for a one year fix which is as high as they've been in a very long time. Like you, I'm watching closely though !
