I have not called any particular user yet. I managed to resist temptation, I have not used these words and I only quoted you actually.
So, do you deny that such people exist among mobile phone users?

Having owned an iPhone and now moved onto a Galaxy S2 one of the reasons I changed was the fact the iPhone ios was user friendly to the point of being "smart phones for dummies"

I did like the iPhone and when I first got it I was really impressed, looking back I think it was only the novelty of actually having an iPhone that I liked, not the iPhone itself, its a novelty that wore off quite quickly. My S2 continues to impress me and has evolved with me as I've changed certain things (roms, kernals, launchers etc) if I still had the iPhone I would have struggled to get it to be the phone I really want, the Android operating system allows me to do that and more.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

The iphone and many other Apple product have the image because of easy to use, well design, easy to use functions and controlled updates. All current products can be updated on the day of release. Apple may not always be first but focus on good user experience.

The Apple have the image because of good user experience, not good user experience because of image.

Again, I'd point you to RIM as your case-study.

    * They have amazing design in spades.
    * They have a standard OS and plenty of useful, unique features like their own private networks in addition to full standard internet access, and had standard things like push email yonks before others even thought of it.
    * They have controlled updates, and RIM's opening policy was one of a standard "user experience".
    * This is why they have full control over their own networks (not the carriers or even governments) & this is why Saudi Arabia got uppity because they could not spy on BB users' communications.

They have everything you say is so good about the iPhone, and Apple's attitude to products.
But now we think of Blackberries as chav-phones, because every teenage girl smoking behind a bus shelter is texting on one, usually pink with fake plastic gemstones stuck to the back cover.

This loss of image is Apple's real fear, and this imo is the real reason for the artificial "premium price policy" - Which is what the thread was talking about when I posted.

All companies will have real fear of lossing imaging, I am sure Samsung and all others would want to keep a good premium image to sell products at higher price. For example would people pay £500 for S3, if Samsungs image was cheap?

Keeping the image and enough product line is a hard work for any company. Look at the Sony, few years back it was known for top quality Tv and Walkmans. Now Samsung have that image for tv and iPods for Walkman.

Unlike Blackberry Apple have been able to create top designed quality products for much longer. It's not just iPhone all their product line including laptop, iPad, desktop, ipod and tv box as well as app store have quality image.

In years to come some other company may take over Apple, currently likely to be Windows Phone, but then Google may loss all market share to Bing. Who knows...

Yes, some people may have less knowledge then others do not mean person is dumb or idiot.
If you went to see a doctor for a result and if doctor told you to read them without any explanatio. Would you like it if you ask the doctor to explain and the response was stop being dumb?

Is just some snippets, facetime over 3G? My old SE K850i from 5 years ago called that video calling :o
The text on reject calls, my 3 year old satio has that feature, intergrating FB/Twitter? Other platforms have been doing that for some time.

Over all dissapointed, I hoped there would be some market leading functions, but it seems that iOS 6 is just catching up :(

I used video calling over 3G in 2003 on the phones sold by three network. Some of my colleagues had those phones so I got to use them then.

    Really?
    4 8Gb is £429. £421 after quidco 2%.

    http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?ItemKey=569502&intcid=Homepage_Find_Phone_PM_Apple_Apple%20iPhone%204%208GB%20Black
    Quidco £50

    12*£36-£50=£382 - and this includes 12 months of 300+3000+500Mb

OK so this is an old phone (on a rubbish network - from my experience) and you're relying on buying it online through a cashback site for the discount. The iphone itself is not discounted, and you would receive similar cash back with any contract bought through the cashback site which kind of makes you point moot. Nice try though.
It's you. And your extremism and narrow-mindedness reminds me TGM.

Please explain my extremism and narrow-mindedness, I be interested to see it from your POV (I'm aware my foregoing statement condradict my apparently narrow-mindedness but hey ho)- provided, that is, your intention with that statement wasn't just trying to elicit an unreasoned response.
Apple's products sell at the price they do only because Apple fans pay this price.

Apple dictate; their [STRIKE]sheep[/STRIKE] customers comply.

Apple have control over the price of the products beyond when they are sold on to third parties. Thats why their products are generally cheaper from apple themselves.

You only need to look at the way they price fixed books/ebooks (keeping the prices artificially high) to see this is how they do business.
And no, personally I will never buy iPhone, at least not in foreseeable future. And not because I cannot afford it.

Not that I cared or asked but well done for you, here's a pat on the back - [PAT ON BACK]

Are you saying all Apple users are dumb (lacking intelligence or good judgment; stupid)?

Did I say that they are?
In your other post you have said people who have been tricked into Android malware are idiots for not checking rights.

I'd say they are pretty dumb if they've installed it themselves, its about taking responsiblity for there actions.

Could it be argued they are dumber than iphone users, yes I suppose it could. Android is at least upfront with what it does with you data, not so with iOS.
Are you saying people who do not agree with you are either dumb or idiot?

Did I say that they are?

I think you're paranoid! And I think you need to stop reacting so childishly to people who disagree with you; You're giving Android fanatics a bad name!

I'm not paranoid chester, I was making an observation about the self congratulatory nature with which you three post.

I assure you as soon as I find a thread started by goodman and commented on by yourself and tilda that requires more than a childish reply you will get one. I tend to reply in kind after attempts at adult conversation have failed.

Its funny you assume I'm an android fanatic. Is it because I post stuff about not liking apple???

You're the one suggesting that because I agree with someone I must be the same person. That sounds like a pretty paranoid conspiracy to me!

Maybe I should have wrapped it in <joke></joke> or <do not take seriously></do not take seriously>, my fault entirely.:doh:It was a follow on from my post previous when I suggested goodman and tilda were the same person.
