  • So I can't seem to shake my downbeat mood :( really not like me but feeling more and more trapped at work. I'm not enjoying the new job but have to stay as we desperately need the money (ha I can hear a few cries of "join the club!") DH is being very supportive and lovely but I just don't know what to do  Oh well, only 1 more day until the weekend....

  • Hey SCP just read your whole thread in one sitting (and one bottle of red). Just remember to keep on posting regularly even if you feel you don't have much to say. I really went off the rails on my journey for a few months when I didn't bother posting and now in the pre-Christmas darkmorning darkafternoons slump I have naff all of any MSE or comedic relevance to write but I still force myself to log on and put something down. It really helps. And another thing that I found helps is looking back at your old posts - if you hadn't taken on board all that advice and made all those changes then your plight would have been a helluva lot worse now - you've certainly inspired me to take my own journey somewhat more seriously again. Keep on keeping on.
  • :hello:Hey Mr Bloater
Thank you for reading my ramblings :rotfl:It does spur you on to know you're not alone. Sounds like you would have plenty of comedic relevance to say, in fact I am going to look for your diary after this! No wine here though sadly.
I have gone (as I'm sure everyone has already guessed) completely off the rails - not that I've been spending on shoes and the like again, I haven't, but back to making minimum payments and losing track of where the money has gone.
We should have a fair bit left for overpayments each month but it is disappearing and any snowballing has gone out the window! Where is that going to get me? I just feel back where I started :o
As all my posts are a bit "woe is me" lately I've stayed away. No-one likes a pity party :rotfl:I do think I need a kick up the **** sometimes though rather than someone to say its all fine - that was what initially got me into action and hopefully will again.
Anyway, off to find that diary...

Morning SCP - Could not find a kick in the **** emoticon! So you will need to accept this one :rotfl: Although this is a "heads will role if you do not sort it out one.

(( Warning Meanness coming up)) - SORT IT OUT - You need to go forwards not backwards - look at what you have achieved - do you want to be in this place next year or worse?? NO did not think so.
ACTION is needed and needed NOW!! Get ON it!!!
Action 1 - By the weekend, I want an update on where you are with your finances.
Action 2. - I want a plan of where you will focus and a timeline to achieve this in.
There will be consequences if this is not achieved - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

There that should be enough - Hope you both well :D Missing You and really do want to sort things, as you head will be in a much better place when you have some control.

  • Thanks for the harsh words! They've worked :D
I am going to update my signature next so that you can see where I am actually at. As for a plan of action....well...not sure other than...pay it off? Haha, since I last posted I've done the christmas food shop though (yummy goodies and much needed alcohol) and put them all away so that we are not tempted to tuck in before the holidays and bought most of my gifts too (was a bit naughty here - a couple of things for DH went on the credit card). Hoping this means that next month I can start snowballing again as Christmas is dealt with. Feeling much better and more calm about it all now-amazing how one day can throw you off totally!! Have 1 or 2 bits I am trying to sell but without much luck at the moment (what do you mean no-one wants a 2nd hand sofa for christmas?!) Uuum think thats it. Off to see what you've been upto xxxx
