  • Hello All

Well, work is still fairly carp but not as bad as it has been. Honestly, I don't know if I regret taking the job :undecided I don't mean to sound ungrateful as I should be glad to be earning at all (and I am) but I just don't know if it is the right job for me - I feel my heart isn't in it. Only time will tell I suppose...mustn't dwell as I am lucky to have a job and can at least pay the bills now!! :D

Just off to do the budget for the month and then I can update my signature. We don't seem to be making much progress at the moment so I need to see those numbers move!!!

  • Well I actually feel a bit better now I've updated sig. as we've made more headway than I thought!! I have slipped back into my overdraft a little bit so must try and get that back under control as it's not on the list (was paid off) but otherwise feeling positive. Onwards and upwards, or downwards I suppose! :D

Well done on updating your sig (though I find the font difficult to read :o) - it's all going in the right direction :j :j

I'm not enjoying the temporary job I'm in if I'm being honest, just counting down the days! :o

  • I'm back and Ive changed my sig. font - that's better actually isn't it. Shame the numbers haven't changed too ;)

So... DH and I are back in our rut. Not really adding to the debts (*whispers* no credit cards anymore as all cut up) but then not really shifting much debt either. I literally don't know what to do to get started again :o When I originally posted I think I was shocked and shamed into changing my ways but I'm so worried I'm becoming complacent.

With Christmas just around the corner too I don't know how we will manage not to implode!!

Off to have a little sulk now and think about what to do.

Hi SCP Welcome back :j:j:j:j I missed you. Thank you for changing the font I can now read what it says :rotfl:. You are still doing so well..No sulking required, look at all the great things you have done including, cutting up all you CC's that in my world is fantastic!
Anyway for my 50p worth - why not focus on the smallest debt and just chip away at that ( its what I have been doing) and it really helps as I feel like it is doable then. When i look at the big scarey total number and think about it - I actually feel quite sick - as I don't really have anything to show for all that money..so as you can imagine I move on very quickly :rotfl:. Anyway Christmas was/is terrifying me so I have told myself not to increase debt owed - so if all I do is may minimum payments for next 2 months and I start the NY with the figure I am now then I still start in a better position than the beginning of this year..Also I have "borrowed" with a twist an idea i read on here..and brought large Christmas bags, tissue paper and everyone is getting a type of hamper this year - so I been bargain hunting on web etc and so far have manage to do about 5 of the hampers..looks loads, as they have a number of presents each but have spent far less than I would do normally...and I actually feel a bit organised as usually I am the 1st or 2nd weekend in Dec in the OMG camp..
Anyway did not mean to take over your diary - was just popping over to say WELCOME BACK missed you, your doing great!!:T

  • Thanks Aamberle, I really wanted to get down to under £40k before Christmas but you're right - if we can just stay as we are until New Year I should be happy. I think I know what my New Years resolution will be...

Hey I absolutely LOVE the hamper idea :) You could theme them around anything couldnt you? Beauty, food, little toys etc and pick bits up here and there? I am definitely going to bear that in mind for my Christmas gifts!! I did buy some Christmas cards today so I can feel as if I've made a start.

Shattered today but will catch up with everyone's news over the weekend.xxxxxx
