If friends and family want to come for dinner, why don't you have a bring a course dinner......one brings starter, one main and you can provide dessert......... or you can provide the main and get the guests to bring starter and dessert. Just a thought..........0

Hey SCP!
Been away so just catching up on my subscribed list! How are you?
You'll enjoy the lakes. Windermere's really pretty and there's quite a bit to do in that area. We went last november with the ILs and we're going again this year. We go in the late autumn cos it's just beautful and suits cooler weather really well - I wouldn't go to the lakes for a sunshine holiday put it that way!!!
We've been to paris in the past too and while it isn't the cheapest, it is a capital city so you can kind of forgive it that. And there's loads to do there. We fancy going again next year as it's our 10 year anniversary and DH's 30th. It's as expensive as you make it really.
Edinburgh is beautiful and I'd live there in a heartbeat. We lived in Falkirk for 6 months while doing our training and I worked in Edinburgh. Such a beautiful, friendly, interesting city. We got engaged there and it'll always have a place in my heart!!!!Debt free in

Hello!
Grrr just wrote a long post, pressed something on the keyboard and lost the lot!
Been a bit rubbish at logging on lately, finding it really hard to post as the project i'm managing at work has overun (not our fault mind) and so all a bit hectic as we try to get it completed!!
Been quite MSE thoughI've taken lunch to work every single day and not been taking proper lunch breaks so no opportunities for shopping there which is good news.
Just checked the bank accounts and our bills are nearly all paid for this month already as they mostly go out on the 1st/2nd. Paid the water bill too so thats sorted for another 6months. Need to update my signature
Mummy you should definitely go to Paris for your 10 year anniversary, is there anywhere more romantic?! Saying that, Edingburgh would be lovely for reminiscing (sp?) if you got engaged there. We got engaged in my parents spare bedroom:rotfl:
I'm glad our b&b is booked as September seems to be a very popular time for the lakes. Just need to book the train tickets now. I'm hoping to save a few pennies by booking in advance.
Anyway, off to see what you two have been upto...[STRIKE]£49,129[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£[/STRIKE][STRIKE]43,012 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£42,209[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£40,823[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£39,866[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£25,960[/STRIKE]£21,338 _party_

That's brilliant! I am carp at the NSD challenge as there always seems to be something even if just a few pence! How are you getting on, still 5 for 5?!sistafromanothermista wrote: » SCP, haven't been on for a while. Just caught up with your thread

Hey, thanks SistaGood to see you're back! Eeek to the water bill but don't forget we haven't got any teenagers/little people which must make a huge difference. My mum used to be constantly telling us off for staying in the showing too long at that age!! Hope you had a great holiday?
