Made a positive start today and cleared out mine and DH's wardrobes. Have listed some bits on ebay so we'll see how we do. Need to get the next debt cleared!

Anyway, hope everyone has had a great break! Night all xxx

    Helloooo!

Well... my focus for January is going to be raising some extra cash to throw at the debt. Ebay is going well at the moment with quite a few starting bids so hopefully they will keep going!!

Also, hoping to cut back on the shopping budget again. Lots and lots of food and alcohol left from Christmas and gifts so don't really need much apart from basics like milk.

Oh and post here more often to stay focussed and catch up with you lovely lot :D

Has anyone got any MSE new years resolutions? xxxx

I'm going to try and sell some things on ebay this month too, if I can be bothered :o

:D Go for it slowly! DH said no-one would be looking so soon after Christmas but the opposite seems to be true. Seemed to be free listing last night too?

  • :rotfl: oh well, they have them all the time don't they!

Quick update...eBay going ok-upto about £20 ish now. Not a fortune but considering its stuff I would've just thrown away then anything is nice!

Absolutely desperate for Janary cc statements to come through so I can see that they are really paid off - and to see them on experian, doesn't seem real yet!

I'm also keen to know how much extra interest we owe too. Does anyone know how it works if you've had a balance a long time then one month pay the full statement amount? Is there more interest due?! It confuses me!

Early night here, still tired from New Year! Post soon xxx

    Morning :j:j:j It's Friday :j:j

Completely understand wanting your statements to come through the door - I would be exactly the same. Not sure how the interest works, but I would look at your previous months interest before all paid and assume that and anything less is a bonus:D.
I closed one a few months ago, and they charged me interest on the interest - cheeky monkeys..yet another about 10p...I don't think there is a magic formula

Anyway have a great Friday x

  • Well, ebay sales went reasonably well. Think I've made about £100 after costs which can go towards debts. I did buy myself a small £3 treat out of my (I was about to write 'winnings' :rotfl: - you know what I mean!) Not much else to report but feeling positive :D
