I can't believe its been 2 months since I posted!!!
Well... the debt levels are pretty much the same as been a crazy few months. I won't go into detail but suffice to say I'm proud that we've not slipped back into a total mess again.
Only 3 more payments on HSBC loan 1!! (Well 2 really as the 3rd comes with a big fat rebate) and the MBNA debt is 0% now so can really make in roads into it. Really need to focus again and just get this final credit card shifted!!
Hope everyone is well and staying MSExxxx

Hi squidgy :hello:
I just found your diary last night and have read the whole thing through start to finish.
You've done incredibly well to get where you are now. I had my LBM around the same time as you, and my total was about £6k more. I went down the DMP route, which took off a lot of the pressure and things were going ok with being MSE and cutting back, but like you, we lost our way a bit and went off the rails slightly, but had a lot of family and personal difficulty to deal with and didn't log on to the forum at all for months. One of my diary friends coaxed me back, as I'm now facing the same blow that caused your light bulb and am about to be jobless, losing two thirds of our household income.
I just wanted to say that I appreciated reading your story, and well done on the transformation from 'serial money-waster' to being a true MSE. Even though you feel like you strayed from the path (seems that's pretty common) your attitude to money and debt is completely the opposite of where you started.
I just need to channel some of that early MSE energy that we all have in the beginning, and get my finances adjusted for our current circumstances. It's going to be a struggle, but I know that the people on this forum are beside me to keep me going.0
