I have a recipe for a really easy banana cake, you just chuck it all in the food processor, put it in a tin and bake. Will find it in a bit.
I discovered it when I thought I had ordered 10 bananas from Tesco and it was actually 10 bags:o:rotfl:

    Hi chocolatepennyfarthing,

I would use them to make banana bread or muffins, or freeze them until I had time to use them. These threads have lots more ideas:

    Bananas going a bit black?

    Freezing bananas.

I'll add your thread to the first link later to keep the suggestions together.

Smoothies! Because they are so sweet you don't need extra sugar and they blend up easily as they're so soft. I have a big bag of yellow bananas and I'm waiting for them to get riper for this reason! :)

These are very nice and easy. I made a double quantity yesterday with 5 bananas and got over 40. They'd freeze well too.

    Good afternoon everyone.

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct forum, but does anyone have any recipes for using up old bananas? I have about 6 which have most definitely seen better days, but I am loathed to waste them!

    Any ideas greatfully received! :)xx

get ur over riped nanas stick them in a frying pan sprinkle on some sugar... little bit of margerine ... little cinnamon if you like it put it on a low heat ..... turn your oven on too 200 grab a bag of short crust pastry stir in some water roll it out dont be too fussy ...shake your nanas... put the pastry in the tin ...blind bake for 10 mins ... shake your nanas .. add some lemon juice if youve got it ... but only a little... then turn the gas off under ur nanas let them rest ,,,, then make a bit of a rough looking crumble ... bit of margerine just in small sort of lumpy bits... sprinkle with sugar add a handful of oats if you have them if you dnt ... dnt worry ... stir it all together and tip out on a baking tray... take your pastry out of the oven put the crumble in ...remove the baking beads or beans from your pastry.... stick in the guey nanas and leave too one side.... make yourself a brew ... then take the crumble mix out of the over ..... whilst hot tip over the nanas ... the put back in the oven for 10-15 mintutes ... drink your brew in the meantime and admire how great the kitchen smells .. quick bit of a tidy ... and there it is guey nana crumble slice great hot with vanilla ice cream .better warmish with some clooted cream... lush with cold with custard
