banana glut

I was searching for a recipe for banana and walnut cake as I have an abundance of over ripe bananas that noone will eat (except the fruit flies). I came across this tip -

Don't throw away over ripe bananas just put them in the freezer (in their skins still) and just pull them out and defrost for mashing whenever you need them.

PS Am baking the cake now and it smells delicious :P

and eat them like lolipops :P :P :P...yummy and must be better for you than commercial lollies...no additives etc. (Bit of a pain getting the skin off tho when frozen!)

Have popped mine in the freezer will let you know if they go yukky. Maybe the skins go mucky only.

Yes, and you can open them and dip them in chocolate first before freezing!

Grapes frozen are delicious - great for taking on a long car trip!

Bananas are fine if you eat them while they are still frozen - just like creamy banana ice-cream.
Really disgustine if you let them thaw out tho!
