If you ported your number over and then for any reason you're not happy on Ovivo and want to move away again, can you get a PAC code from Ovivo?
  • It really is a bit naughty of them to 'hide' the initial cost until you have gotten so far into the order. Hmmmm....

I got a PAC number from Ovivo yesterday. They tried to talk me out of it but were pretty helpful

Been with Ovivo for 5 months and using the sim in an iPhone 4 - both for my phone and my wife's phone.

Data can be a little slow but heck I paid £15 so far for 5 months worth of service and still have £12 credit left - spend money when texting home from USA.

I got caught out trying to use the Phone outside of the UK - you have to tell them before hand so they can enable the option. Only took 48 hours after requesting it via their website and if you read the website it is very clear you need to do this.
  • do you need an unlocked phone for this?

According to their FAQ, you need a completely unlocked phone, locked to Vodafone is not good enough! ...
In order to use our service, your device must be completely unlocked so that it can be used with any network SIM card. This includes devices purchased from Vodafone – These also need to be unlocked in order to use all aspects of OVIVO’s service.

Also (regarding an earlier post), International roaming is now automatically enabled, you don't have to ask.
This changed a couple of weeks ago.

I can't imagine why that is as I use a Voda locked phone and all functions work ..even abroad ;)

I also know of 2 others locked to Voda and am not aware of them having any problems with them
It's not just about the money

I've got a vodafone locked phone and that works fine with Ovivo.
