Cannot seem to find the call prices to 08** numbers, I presume they are not included in the inclusive minutes?

Ovivomobile told me on the phone today that if people on the Freedom Plan want more than the free allowances, they can top up and still be on Freedom Plan :)
No need to change to a price plan package and lose free allowances.

    > Are the Ibis, Rhino, Shark and Whale allowance in addition to the Freedom Price Plan?

No, the allowances are as stated against each price plan and not in addition to any of the other states price plans.
For example, with the Freedom Plan, you receive 150 Minutes, 200 Texts and 400MB each month.
If you’re on the Ibis plan, you receive a total of 250 Minutes, 400 Texts and 500MB.

I was hoping to buy one of these price plan packages, when the free allowances run out.
Not 100% sure, but it looks as if I was to go for a price plan, I would then stop being eligible for the Freedom Price Plan.
So, if I pay £9 for the Ibis plan, I will get only an extra 100 mins voice, 200 texts and 100 MB data.

Another SIM from a cheaper provider and carrying around two phones or a dual SIM phone may be the way forward.

Thats true Blue_Max prices are per min/text etc, bottom of page all charges are there :)

May work out cheaper for some to get a second 3payg if they are a high user 3p calls, 2p text, 1p (google 321 plan on 3 payg)

low users factoring in free mins and 8p calls maybe cheaper on Ovivo.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Yes, The new 3 2 1 PAYG Plan from Three is one of the cheapest for making UK calls.
Though they are expensive for calling abroad.

Another option is to use some of the free data for making voice calls.
localphone.com is one of the companies that have apps for iPhone or Android smartphones for making cheap phone calls to UK and abroad. It works with wi-fi or a 3G connection such from Samba or Ovivomobile.
0.5p/min for landline and 2.3p/min mobile incl VAT.
Free allowances from Ovivomible include 500 MB of data every month. That translates to loads of cheap calls!
To try it out, Localphone offer a free 5 minutes call to new customers.
This UK based company provide very good customer support.

Another one with app for mobile phones is dialnow.com.
    0.1p/min UK landlines
    0.7p/min UK mobiles
DialNow is one of the many offerings from Dellmont SARL aka Betamax GmbH aka Finarea SA.
Some them have incredibly low rates for calling abroad.
This comparison site show latest the rates of the various Betamax brands.
    http://backsla.sh/betamax
I have used some of them in the last few years; mainly for making VoIP calls. Sometimes they make charging errors. Customer support is almost nil. But the low cost more than make up for the small losses.

With different companies offering different things, I am thinking of buying a multi-SIM phone from eBay.
Don't know how good they are though!

Apparently the latest dual sims take calls from both sims without re-booting to change sim/service, impressive!

Always seems strange to me the Far East is where these phones are most popular, given the strong religious ties compared to Europe, I could tell a story or two about that and dual sim phones but this is MSE :D

Europe networks subsidise our handsets, but given time and the loss of Line 2 on Orange and others in UK I think there definitely is a market.

Ovivo and 3 unlimited data on some of the high end dual sim mobiles would be a good marriage.

My note copy (Star N8000) takes and makes calls and texts from both networks at the same time you can set it to one network for send or ask it to ask each time which sim to use. You can only have one data connection at a time but it can be swapped in about 10 secs no rebooting of hadset. It cost about £120 direct from china via amazon a year or so ago.

The other dual sim one I have (used for Orange cinema stuff) always asks which sim to send on for texts and has two buttons, sim 1 sim 2 for answering calls. (It helpfully tells you which sim is calling) this is a cheap Nokia copy cost around £12 again no rebooting.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

    Thanks Marvin.
Buying a dual SIM phone is bit of a gamble in the UK. Hardly any reviews of dual SIM phones by the well known sites such as cnet, techradar.
gsmarena.com lists many dual SIM phones but most are not available in the UK.
