I'm such an occasional data user (and been abroad for 3 weeks) that I hadn't yet swapped to the new APN
After a modest (60 kB) data session on the 1st July, I received an email a couple of days ago reminding me to swap to the new access point ovivomobile.com
They say any use of the previous APN after 15th July will be charged for, on a per megabyte basis.
Those like me who hadn't swapped over, be warned.
Thanks for the warning. I don't seem to have got this email.
Where to get the new APN ?!

thank you. what is the catch with Ovivo?? pay nothing each month and receive 150 minutes, 250 text, 500mb data, and free calls ovivo to ovivo ... there must be a catch somewhere?

No real catch apart from when you are on the web you have to watch a quick advert every now and then

I have been with Ovivo from the beginning which is about a year now and had No Problems I also have not seen one add but they are coming soon.

Be careful what you wish for.

This time they're quite annoying, you have to wait a fair amount of time before you can press Continue.

I have my Ovivo data sim in a VERY basic Vodafone 231 handset I got free in 2009 when Voda 30 days sims did their 3 months EU and AU/NZ roaming promo in 2009.

As I am (mainly) on EE after the old man left my Orange "your Group" (Orange were overcharging) the free calls disappeared so he calls my Ovivo/V231 handset/sim free and I tell him when I'm out so he does a few rings on EE and I call him back.

All in £20 paid out and the service has worked great for him, instead of a £15 a month sim only Orange on my Orange account. Between that and Samba, Virgin Media/Orange lost £55 approx. a month income.

Even with my old contract now on a £5 Orange contract for UMA Signal Boost to divert my (T-Mobile powered) EE4G handset to it at home, between us must be a £65-75 month saving with him leaving Orange/Virgin Media thanks to Ovivo and Samba.

My Vodafone signal is patchy at home but between free call on and off Ovivo to whatever of my handsets its like Orange "your group" free calls but £20-30 a month cheaper ! ;)

Considering usage changes slightly per month beforehand, it must be a max of £80 a month savings. I believe that's two Sat nights a month or therein in the pub for the old man to enjoy his retirement more :D
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Anyone not wanting adverts use a old Windows Mobile device ;)

i200, HTC Touch and Touch 3G, confirmed browser not supported by Ovivo adverts ;)
