Another option is to use some of the free data for making voice calls.
I have a question about Localphone. As I understand it, you get a 'local' (presumably UK) number when calling somebody abroad. How does this work when abroad using wifi? Do I call that same 'local' UK number or would I need another 'local' number, e.g. when calling Switzerland from France? Rather than bore the pants off other MSEers, have you a link to appropriate webpages?
I currently have Skype and BT SmartTalk apps on my Ovivo-enabled Huawei G300. I have successfully used Skype abroad. BT SmartTalk didn't work for me (and the BT 'help' line didn't help). The BT app has been updated so I can try again soon.
Thanks for your advice.0 -

Seeing ads when you choose to go online is one thing, being sent text ads drifts straight into intrusive advertising and kills off Ovivo as a viable choice in my opinion.0 -
You missed out the important part: "The first deal... ...will allow consumers to receive tailored advertising via text messages"

It wasn't a dig, I'd just suggest that is slightly more important to users than the quote telling us that an ad supported network is teaming up with an ad company
No probs. I cant see what the problem is posting the beginning of an article and leaving peeps to read the rest, and let them decide whats important.0 -
Blimey stop being hyper critical at least he bothered to post the heads up about whats going on.0

We usually try to highlight the issue that affects consumers, to try and make it easy for casual readers to understand what's going on.
I'd suggest that mentioning direct text adverts to consumers would have been of greater relevance in raising awareness among moneysavers about the development than posting a generic announcement about Ovivo teaming up with some other company.0
