I ordered a sim from Ovivo after emailing them to ask if their sim would work in my vodafone K3565 dongle they replied and said no problem as long as it is unlocked - well its unlocked and will not work they are being most unhelpful firstly asking if we have the original packaging (we bought the dongle almost 4 years ago) then the next call asked for the software version then they kept escalating the query to a higher technical department with no joy we asked for a refund they want me to return the sim 1st, anyone advise if it will work and how to go about it as I prefer to keep the sim card for Data but feel they didn't have a clue.

okay install your modem as normal, then insert the sim card. click on priorities and the click add settings you then need to input ovivo's settings
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I would agree, Vodafone are very good at locking down their software. You might need to find a generic version of the dashboard software and use that, which then allows changing of APN etc.

    Edit

A quick google brings this up with might be of use:

Would be a shame to loose out on the Ovivo deal cos of a dongle.
I have bought unlock codes from eBay sellers for £1 and they worked every time. Just make sure to get the right code for the model.

I also have a K3565 Vodafone dongle which doesn't even work with the original non-expiring sim following a software update ages ago. I now use a 3 dongle which I managed to lock myself.

You could try using Globe Visibility Connection Manager instead of the VF interface.

The connection details for Ovivo are

    Config Filename - Ovivo
    Dial Number - *99#
Use the following APN name - gprsconnect.com

Edit to add - the connection settings are changing this month and all users will be contacted with the new settings.

I just got a new phone which is locked to Vodafone, a Vodafone Chat 655W. I put my Ovivo sim in it and I can makes calls and send texts, but I cannot access the internet, I have manually added the APN, although it works fine over wi-fi.
