It will not let me delete the Vodafone settings. On Ovivo website it says if you have transferred your number to still use the old settings, which I have done. It also says even if you have a Vodafone phone it still needs to be unlocked???

No,I have a vodafone phone with an Ovivo sim and it accesses the internet no problem.....mms doesn't work tho,I believe that's because my phone is rooted.

The Ovivo free monthly allowance has gone up again. Users now get 100 additional mb free each month.

The free monthly allowance is now 150 minutes, 200 texts and 500 mb. :T

Can't understand why anyone pays for mobile services these days.....

Wrong thread, this one is about Ovivo, not Vectone...

For some reason they haven't increased the data on the data sim - which is also 500Mb. Not entirely clear why anyone would go for that over the upgraded mins+texts+data sim.

Perhaps they consider using a phone sim in a tablet/PC instead of a data sim same as tethering? if they can detect it maybe they would block it.

With the same data allowances, the call and text allowance isn't much use in a tablet anyway I suppose.

Does seem odd though. If I was them, I would have added 50 minutes and a hundred texts instead of upping the data, I think it would have got them a lot more customers, a lot!

I asked them about tethering a couple of months ago and they are fine with it (unless things have changed in the meantime). I was considering getting a 2nd sim for my tablet - should I get a 500mb a month tablet sim or a phone sim with minutes and texts and "only" 400mb. In the end I decided I would rather have a sim with the minutes and texts as well as data. I put this in my spare phone and could tether my tablet to it.

Now that the free data allowance is the same for both, there doesn't seem to be any reason to get the tablet sim unless you want to use the £5 topup to get it up to 1G.

Don't give them ideas. I like the fact that I can take sim out and put in a dongle to put in a pc when I am at parents house.

Although my phone (old) gives me internet, it is slow at times and some sites it just won't load properly.
