Ovivo have confirmed to me that you can use a 'freedom' sim in a tablet. Which seems to make the data only sim completely pointless.0

I would bet that they will up the free usage to 600 or 750mb soon!!
Now they have the ads up and running, they will not want customers to run out of data!!0 -
Sure i've read somewhere but cant see! I have signed in to start up the service - sim is in the phone and when I go to make the test call it comes up mobile network not available. Any idea's? Ta!0

Also, are you sure the phone is not locked?0 -
Does it work with the original Vodafone sim?0

Seems all ok today! Odd!! I never had an origional sim as I just brought the phone alone :-) All sound. Filled out a form this time yesterday to port over my number but it's not come yet so maybe tomorrow?0

IIRC, they will let you know the exact date of porting.0

I've tried my Ovivo sim in a locked Vodafone Chat 655W, it will make calls and send texts, but not access the internet via 3G, although it works fine on wi-fi. The APN settings are correct and I have credit on the phone. I cannot access the internet with the Vodafone payg sim either, but it does not have any credit on it.
Tesco Phone Shop assistant said that the phone would have to have credit to access 3G??? Vodafone e-forum confirmed the Vodafone payg sim would need credit on it.
I spoke to Ovivo CS and they said I was in a poor signal network area, but I get a 3G/H signal on the phone.0 -
Just took out the battery and sim for the 100th time in the 3 weeks that I have had the phone and it has connected to 3G internet.
I was about to return the phone, but I don't need to now.0
