I am not going myself now, but my friend recieved this reply from Renault when she enquired about tickets.
Please be assured that all ticket requests received via our on-line booking facility have been fulfilled. If your tickets have not arrived, or you have moved house since registering, or you have received you tickets but mislaid them then please do not worry.
Simply turn up on the day and you will be admitted to the event even if you do not have a ticket. These can be obtained at the gate and admission is free.
If you have received your tickets and wish to bring additional guests then please do so.
Please note that children under 16 accompanied by an adult do not require a ticket.
We look forward to seeing you at Donington Park on 8th-9th September.
Best regards
World Series by Renault

Does anyone know if there is a charge to park your car at Donington?
We're trying to do this on a shoe-string budget and could do with knowing as many costs in advance. Sorry if this has already been asked.
Last year, all it cost us was the petrol money to get there. We took our own food and drink, parking is free and we came away with a bag full of further freebies. Its a great day/weekend (whichever you choose) and fingers crossed they have forecast good weather.0 -

They had ear plugs for the kids at one of the tents. I think they charged £1 for them, but if you filled in a survey you got them for free. I would take a push chair of some kind for your 3 year old. Loads of people did last time.0 -

There were stalls around the paddock/pit area selling them for £1 a pack but last couple of years they were giving them away at the Renault display marque in the middle of the track (near the fair)0 -
Haven't been before and was wondering what the seating/stands availability is like down there. I had a look at some pictures from previous years to get an idea.
Is seating in the stands pre-allocated or for those with corporate tickets or something or is it open to all?
Just asking before I head out and buy a few camping chairs. I saw quite a few people sitting on the grass slopes in the pictures, maybe for a better view or they were too late to get into the stands?0 -

There are two small areas of stands on the start/finish line. One is for sponsor only and I think the other maybe first come first served. On Saturday you should be OK getting a seat but for Sunday, if you aint there when it start you will be lucky. People mainly take either a camping chair or just a rug. If it aint raining, I would go for the latter as you can easily carry to a different spot. The main grassy area overlooks the rear of the circuit and many people like it here because you get a good view of the racing and its near the beer tent!0
