Sunday will be a lot busier than Saturday. Last race on Saturday is due to finish at 6.45pm but Im not sure if entertaining afterwards. Last year we got there lunchtime on Saturday and no problmes, Sunday we aimed to get there for 9.30 and the traffic was bad from the M10

Thanks Mike J, why is busier on the Sunday? is there better stuff going on?0

The majority of the races on Saturday are qualifying whereas Sunday are the main races. Although this means that the closer racing is on Sunday, I prefer so think that the Saturday races involve people who are either lousy drivers or who arn't concerned about championship points so more chances of a good crash or bit of offroading.
Also the stalls/freebie can be hit and miss. More chance of getting something as fewer poeple unless the stalls are beign wary and saving goodies until Sunday.
(Also think more chance of the blokes getting to go after they have taken wifey shopping on the Saturday:rotfl: :rotfl: )0 -
oh great, thanks for the info :T0

Any wants accomodation for 2x family rooms at Travelodge Tamworth for tonight? It is about 20 mls away. Unfortunately we had to cancel the trip to Donnington due to personal reasons. PM if you need the accomodation code for the Travelodge.0

Just come back from Donnington - husband described it as MAN HEAVEN. Kids loved it too. The cars were great and they even had a Spitfire Bi-plane and the Red Arrows all fly over! BRILLIANT DAY OUT
We got there at 8.45am which was perfect. Only a small queue after we parked our car to get into the place. Got a few freebies including Renault radios tuned into Renault radio station (Really good for listening to the commentry)
My main advise to any Sunday visitors is to get there early before the first race and then you won't have to suffer the queues that my friends had to.
THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE ON THE EVENT.
IT SAVED US LOTS OF MONEY AND WE HAD LOADS OF FUN!

We're back too, it was a great day out. Got there about 11.45am (didn't leave home til 10am so only took a little longer than expected), signs on the M1 said long delays at the J23a exit so we got off at J23 after a little bit of queuing it was fine, only half hour extra on the journey overall.
No probs getting parked or getting in. Very busy, lots of people, DH and my younger son aged 3 LOVED it, my other son aged 5 enjoyed the day but not all noise!! Freebies - Renault radios, Renault stickers wasn't really looking for freebies today.
Took a picnic, only spent £3 (a Cornetto each for the kids). Even the parking was free! didn't attempt to take the kids to the fun fair as there were loooooong queues.
We left about 5pm, kids were tired out, no probs getting out, we headed back to J23 to get onto the M1 which worked out very well.
Brilliant day out :T :T :T , thanks to whoever posted the link all those months ago  . I wonder if it'll be on again next year.0 -
I got a free pen and lanyard, and someone signed my map but I dunno who he was. And I talked to the guy who won the last race before the F1 car demo!Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
