There was a small bit of seating near the start/finish line last year. The rest was just grass and sit where you like, so it's probably best to take a chair/blanket
And take your own toilet roll.
I've booked in a express hotel for the Sat Night so any recomendations for tea places would be a helpPanda xx

Hi everyone...I was just wondering if anyone knew the seating situation for the event..We are taking 3 kids the youngest being 4. Also are there plenty of toilets for her..Thanks...
there is a grand stand on the start finish straight. Its just a race circuit, so you can sit on the grass (or take a chair) and sit where you want around the circuit. There are plenty of toilet buildings dotted around the circuit.0 -

Thanks for that...Looks like we will be there.....:jBest Competition Wins-Brand New Vauxhall Corsa & £30000 -
As people have said a chair is highly recommended as the grass banks are hard, lumpy and early in the morning very wet. Me and my mate took sun loungers last year on the Sunday and got very funny looks from people as we were in shorts lying in the fog. But we had the last laugh as we could lie back and relax in the lovely sunshine we were blessed with and get burnt to a crisp while everyone else was fidgiting around on the grass FANTASTIC.
Have bee ntrying to find somewhere cheap to stay over night but everywhere is a rip off. £59 to pitch a caravan very steep. Looks like driving again this year, although its not too bad only takes an hour. Fingers crossed they open the gates at 7am again this year so i can get my spot just up from the old hairpin nice place for action/crashes.
Hope everyone enjoys the day.0 -
What about camping!
Only just thought about it. Wasnt sure where to book etc.
I take it the whole park is full up with campers?
Was hoping to make a weekend out of it but didnt think about booking camping!
What shall i do?Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0 -
Does anyone know if there is a charge to park your car at Donington?
We're trying to do this on a shoe-string budget and could do with knowing as many costs in advance. Sorry if this has already been asked.0 -
Parking is completely free. As you say you are doing this on a shoe string i do suggest taking you own food, you need a mortgage to buy a burger at the race track.
Enjoy your weekend if its anything like last year you are in for a treat.0 -
i have now passed on my camping but still have my 2 entry tickets, if anyone lives in the middlesbrough area and wants to go if they want to leave me a pm i will arrange for them to be collected.
im not sure that they will make it in the post for anyone else.
i realy wish i could go as last year was amazing but i have other things to attend toand belive me they not fun.
well i hope you all have a great time, and remember the sun cream and ear plugs because last year we forgot them both.0 -
