Currently considering whether to bite the bullet and just list all my remaining CDs while they are still making a few quid here and there. Now we have downloads I think CDs will be outdated very soon.
Ooooh, can I ask what sort of CD's sell at the moment? Got loads of folky/ early Dylan sort of stuff and classical/opera too...any good????0 -
Miro I sold a Whitney Houston CD just before Xmas-thought there was no way it would even go for 99p so you can imagine how shocked I was when it went for £16! :T Why not have a look at the completed items list to what has sold
5 items listed last night spent ages trying to get my head round auctiva which I have now done and think it is great as you don't get slammed if you use loads of pics. Have got 13 items on there at the mo-one is selling one has 4 watchers and a couple have 2 or so watchers. Will be doing another lot of listing this weekend too-but don't want to let it get on my nerves and take over my life2008 will be the year I finally get organised!:o

Unixgirl - if nobody can answer you here about Amazon I suggest having a wander over to the "Ebay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales" thread as I know there are lots of other Amazon sellers on there.
Miro - there aren't any patterns to the CD sales that I can see. The few rarities I have are being snapped up at decent prices. The general popular used CDs are going for £0.99-£2.00 if they sell, but a lot remain unsold too. I have just listed some of them in lots grouped by artist, so we'll see how they go and then I'll try for 50p a piece at the car boot. Pretty soon I think the only option will be giving them away!
Thought I'd do a quick list of things I still need to do:- Organise 20,000 or so photos and negatives from pre-digital days
- At least halve my collection of travel books
- Reduce maps collection by 90% - just keep favourites (who needs maps when we have the internet)
- Sort out old computer software, accessories, cables and other bits of hardware
- Reorganisation of paperwork - reduce from 2 shelves to 1
- Get rid of all remaining CDs(?)
- Sort out and audit of business materials
- Car boot sale for the above and some other things I don't need
- Shed sort out (when weather gets warmer)
- Do an inventory of everything that's left!

With kids rooms my cunning plan is to get them to bag up stuff they never play with and suggest it goes in the attic to make more room for their new and better loved stuff.
Then if they haven't asked for it for 6 months/a year (whatever, you set the period,) I give the whole bag to the charity shop. Even if you can't bring yourself to give it away, then at least their room is a bit emptier and you can get in there to hoover.
Only very rarely have they asked for anything from the attic and then I just say, oh I'm sure it's up there somewhere I'll dig it out soon. They then forget about it within about 5 seconds and never ask again!
Let's face it, if they loved it and played with it then they wouldn't want to put it in the attic in the first place! (I do keep a few things for future grandchildren, like Brio, Duplo and Lego, it stands the test of time and never wears out. My children play with lego I had as a child!)Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I sold my old Beatles, Sargeant Pepper LP a bit back and got £25 for it...I was amazed too! I've started using Auctiva as well...easy once you get used to it. I wish they had more plain-type templates though...some of them are way too OTT for me. I especially like how you can get all your stuff listed and then schedule when you want it to go 'live'...and of course all the free pics!0 -
Dunno if it's been mentioned before...but has anyone used www.bigwardrobe.com for selling/swopping clothes? Seems to be free too. Not a great deal on there right now but might be worth a bash
What does anyone think??
