I am a business seller on Ebay and usually have between 100 and 200 items running, it's OK once you get into the rhythym, but I sent out the wrong thing a couple of times :D

I never accept buy it now offers as the item usually sells well and for more than the offer.

Well done with all the decluttering, I started the thread a year ago, but I'm not doing very well :o My excuse is that I run a business, and most of the clutter is stock :rotfl:

My OH is a business seller and has a website as well, he doesn't do the best offer thing either, however, I have found that when I do do best offer,(on my own account) alot of people just pay the full price. some people have made ridiculously low offers and I have rejected them and then other people come along and just buy it as the price it's up for. My OHis trying to get over 1,000 items on. Good luck charlie's mum with the decluttering, I know what you mean though, we still manage to accumulate loads of clutter and stuff

Hey all :) Lovely sunny morning here!

Hi Tattycath, can't help with best deal broadband I'm afraid. I need reliable for my business and that isn't always cheapest. I'm currently with BT, and very happy with the service.

The vast majority of my ebays are auctions, I occasionally include buy it now prices on some of them, or do a pure "buy it now" (especially on relists). I stopped using "best offer" when I kept getting offers for 50p under the buy it now price, on items that were only a few quid in the first place - it didn't seem worth the trouble! :rotfl:

I prefer to have the bulk of them ending on the same day, as I don't really want to be making daily trips to the post office all the time - even if it is close!

Pigpen, I'll say two binbags for that room this time! That's what I got from my son's room last time when it hadn't long been done :p Any joy with your missing in action auction winners?

Charlies Mum can I just say thank you for starting this brilliant thread! I was wondering about you and how you were getting on! I have a similar issue not with stock, but equipment for my business.... I think we just have to make an exception for it until we retire though :D

Loving the ebay updates! Here's mine:
43 items on, 2 ended with buy it now, 3 with bids, 25 watchers. Current total £45.96! :D:D:D Halfway to target already and they only went on last night!
LOADS of questions, most of them asking stuff already covered in my very carefully worded listings!

Currently considering whether to bite the bullet and just list all my remaining CDs while they are still making a few quid here and there. Now we have downloads I think CDs will be outdated very soon.
  • Knowing you pigpen I'll bet you get rid of 5 bin bags from DD1's room and find some MORE stuff to ebay laughing-smiley-014.gif
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

Had a message from Amazon this morning about delayed payment from a buyer. What's all that about? I thought great I've got another sale then got that. Bit disappointing. Will it go through?
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Yay!!! Took some bits and bats to the hospice charity shop and came away without buying anything. :j

My challenge for the day is to de-clutter the airing cupboard. Old towels to go to a doggie friend, (erm, praps that should be a dog-owning friend!). Unwanted duvet covers, sheets, p'cases, t-towels bagged up for the charity shop. Lordy knows what's at the back of that cupboard as it's so long since its been sorted!

My 'pain-in-the-bum' ebay sale is still dragging on.....Mr & Mrs PITB were supposed to be calling to pick up their goods originally on Wed, then Thurs and now they can't make it til tonight...aarrgghh!!! If they do a no-show tonight I am gonna tell em where to go in no uncertain terms....erm...probably, mebbe...ahem! Thing is, they are paying cash, so saving me Paypal fees on a substantial sum, so I don't want to be too shirty with them if it is going to work out.

More items sheduled to go on ebay tonight...not doing so well with whats listed so far...just one watcher icon9.gif, still its early days.

    Onwards and upwards...:D
