Yeah 6 items listed and 3 of them from OH wardrobe 3 coats I didn't even know he had! Found Monsoon dress lurking as well so that is going on at some stage! Am off now for a well earned glass of Shiraz:beer: as body call all confused as I am listening again to Terry Wogan from this morning whilst listing-just hope I don't end up at work again by mistake! :eek:

Hi All, hope I'm not too late to join in, I usually hang out on the DFW board, but since discovering OS 2 days ago, I haven't been away! Today I have taken matters into my own hands and dragged a load of stuff to the tip that I was waiting for DH to take (a rusty old workbench that had been left outside for months, a rusty old washing line twirly gig thingy and an offcut of carpet, plus loads of cardboard boxes)

Working at 8am but means I finish at 3.30 which will give me time to list more items when I get home

Both DD's rooms done and as much toys & stuff out of other rooms as possible ready to be picked up today.
Now on to a room by room approach. Today it is the office & shed_pale_

Despite the chap not turning up to collect the speakers I put on freecycle.....and me feeling that anything would be a waste of time (who wants my c**p?)................I've put an old bike on freecycle........needs something doing to it but not a lot.........surely someone will want it ?
Next thing is to create a box of books (can't touch OH's as he's sneaked off to the pub having pulled a dropped face when I mentioned sorting them out......lol) Still I can start on mine.............just might inspire him.
Junk room is still much as it was but I just might sneak in there and have a poke through some of drawers, cardboard box in hand, and see what I can sling out.

Four slowcoaches still not paid from the ones the ended last Sunday :rolleyes:, three have been in touch so I'm not worried about them but the other will be getting a final reminder tomorrow.

Good to hear everyone else's progress with the clearing out, look forward to some more updates later as I know Saturday is a usually a productive day!

Mary43, not another no show, they are a nightmare aren't they (and it's so rude!) You seem to have a big network of ex foster girls and boys out there though! I'm almost scared to go off topic but are you fostering anyone at the moment? Please don't be put off Freecycle, it's a bit hit and miss but it's great when it works.

Hello Natlou and welcome, this is a great place to report progress and keep motivated by seeing what everyone else is doing! What's next on your agenda?

Melvis well done on the ebay progress so far! It's great when things go for more than you expect. I had something on there with start price £14.99, buy it now £29.99 - anyway the first person bid so the buy it now disappeared, and now it's already up to £30.00!!! I thought £29.99 was a stretch so if it goes over £30.00 I am going to be gobsmacked.

I am definitely having better joy with ebay at the moment than I did towards the end of last year when I last listed some things. What do other people think, are you having a lucrative time right now? It's making me inclined to dig out everything I possibly can while the iron is hot!

Kscour, you have thrown out more than four times my body weight already!

I think the only thing I'll tackle today is a last look around for some "beat the new fee structure" ebay items to list, so an easy day for me. Good luck everyone!

Not giving up on freecycle just yet missyg......have put a bike on that needs some attention this morning so sit back and wait and see.
By-passed the book clearing and delved into a set of drawers in the 'junk room'.............clear two drawers ! Most of it was rubbish, the rest was tools so I've put them all in one place.
Found some decorating tools (combing tool and a roller), tin of crackle glaze I used twice -didn't work very well for me - and its still useable, nearly full so that can be offered.
Complete roll of silver wallpaper plus oddments and bits of border (can't remember when one of the boys rooms was last done like that !!.........lol
Then rooted through some of my shoe boxes and condensed what was in two of them into one.
Can get rid of a Bero flour bag (old one, original), an old fashioned suet box (why did I have that? Think maybe I was going to frame it)
Tea towel bought from a German antique dealer I knew years ago......cream and embroidered in red..............know understand what it says on it.....lol
Envelope with old milk checks (tokens ) in
Scratchboard tools
Bag of old keys...............some from our old houses and I like to keep them so must consult with OH...........lol

And........treasure of treasures.......wondered where it was.........my string shopping bag...........................:T Keeping that...........so handy !

The rest can go on freecycle............let someone else have my rubbish if they're brave enough...........if all else fails I'll phone the lad who had the candle making stuff -he's worse than me for hoarding/collecting and get phone number of ex foster girls sister.............she does house clearances as well..................I could take her round room by room.................:j
So, one way or another it'll go................sooner rather than later (she says hoping and on knees praying................lol)

Oh, and yes, I am still fostering...............but they're not interested in my rubbish................lol Too busy with play stations and /or girlfriends............lol
