*******urgent - Ebay Cancelled My Account *****

I have been selling on Ebay for approx 6 months and just received this e-mail

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due
to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community.

Per Section 8 of the eBay User Agreement, we may immediately issue a
warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your
membership and refuse to provide our services to you if we believe that
your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our
users or us. We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or
authenticate any information you provide to us.

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are
prohibited from using eBay in any way including registering a new account.

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become
due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously
disputed to the billing method currently on file.

I have emailed them and am awaiting a reply - I paid my fees and it pulled all my listings and says i am no longer a registered user

What can i do as i have taken money for items not yet delivered such as event tickets??

eBay emails are always addressed directly to you, i.e your username.

yes, they will reply to you quite quickly, usually 24 or 48 hours??

yes, I have had them reply as quick as half an hour!

I think its automated isn't it heatherw_01?? Guess it just depends on how many emails to be processed?

It must be because eBay never respond that quick!

They probably have a programme that scans the email perhaps.

The only problem with assuming it to be a scam is that there doesn't appear to be any link or requests for info in the body of the message.

The other thing is if the seller has been selling 'non transferable' gig tickets and such like it might be a genuine suspension so we need to hear back from mac123 to see what is happening.

The OP also says that all her listings have been pulled and the account shows as NARU which would suggest a genuine email.

Very true, if your listings have been pulled I would think it is real.

I would still forward the mail on though.

i cant even log onto ebay and the things i was selling, loads of people were, and still are selling them

Oh dear - sorry guys. Think I led you up the garden path there.....

I got this exact same email only a few hours ago but deleted it.... I guess if this is the standard email from ebay then the scammers have copied the format as the only difference was where it says "We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or
authenticate any information you provide to us" i think there was a link somewhere that you were supposed to click on and the alt tab suggested this was a non-ebay source...
