A new twist on the problem this evening.
When I use the browser back button a new window tries to open with the page I have just moved away from but my pop-up blocker stops it.
Usually it is from a thread back to the board that I notice it happening.0 -
Can I just add my tuppence worth? Most other sites I use with my browser open more or less within a few seconds, but MSE is incredibly slow. Is this because of the great popularity of the site, or is it because MSE Forums are bing scrutinised by GCHQ?0

I have not been able to replicate the problem on any machine, OS or browser I have tried.
May be useful info to report what they are, as in these cases negatives can also help diagnose.
For example, I have no problems using.

there is obviously some sort of problem with the forum and website, it is getting really annoying now my entire computer freezes for good 30 seconds, I cant even check processes or cpu usage etc during this as its not checkable,
I suggest the forum admins maybe check what plugins they recently installed or new vbulletin updates or what ever else you's have done.0 -

Hi folks,
I can see that many of you are frustrated but please understand that we do care about this and we are investigating. However, we don't have a huge amount of resource to do so and the biggest issue we've got the is the lack of consistency of the problem.
Our strongest leads seem to point to issues with images so we're working mostly down that track at the moment. We are making changes as we go so it would be useful to keep getting feedback from you, especially if any of you notice an improvement.
Thanks for bearing with us.

Ive mentioned slowness before but its still as bad, if not worse than it was when i first mentioned it.
The time it takes to open a page and navigate from one place to another is awfully slow and frustrating.
Also, another problem that is now occuring ..........when you hover the cursor over the title of a thread, a little box appears with the first post words in it..........but, when I click to go into that thread, that little box doesnt fade out for 10+ seconds meaning I cant read the thread till its gone.
This never used to happen and its driving me crazy.
The whole enjoyment of the forum is gone now.........which is a shame. It was never broken to begin with, so why all the supposed new fixes!?0 -
