arrrrggghhh! It's driving me nuts all this slowness and pages hanging interminably. Isn't there anything being done about it?

If it doesn't get fixed soon, I'm going to be calling it a day here as there is no point waiting around for pages to load that take forever and ever - frankly, chaps, it is UNUSABLE as it is
Maybe it's time that MARTIN LEWIS is put under the spotlight on WATCHDOG.

Now that would really be embarrassing ...

Further to my previous post, other problems that I have been having.

I can't browse another site using another open window while an MSE page is loading, something keeps dragging me back to the MSE browser to watch it doing nothing.
The whole thing goes into meltdown if I try to refresh the browser or click another link on MSE before the page has completed loading.
If I am reading a thread and want to check something on a previous page of the same thread, it can actually be quicker for me to use the browser back button and then click on the earlier page from the listing in the index (applies only to first 3 pages of a thread)

Looking earlier at the bar (window, bottom left), as MSE loaded, I noticed '53 items loading'. Each was a link or image with some sort of embedding.

    Enough said.

I've got an new issue now.

Top left corner of the page loads ( up to the end of the pinky/purple 'Deals/Vouchers' tab) then hangs for ages before the rest of the page loads.

Not every page but a number of them. Just happened again when I clicked on this thread.

I must admit the lack of response from the web team on these problems is very disappointing.

I don't know if this is of any help or relevant.

I just installed an old 2005/2006 version of Firefox browser (version 1.5.0.1).

MSE website is continually giving following page script errors, which may indicate errors in page coding.

I'm not getting these errors on other websites.

    • Browser client and version (FF, Chrome IE Safari etc.) version number is very important
    • Firefox 11.0 - just changed from 3.6 which was the same
    • Operating system (Windows XP, Vista, 7, Mac, Linux etc.)
    • Windoze7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1
    • Broadband provider and speed
    • Plusnet, about 2 meg
    • Location (not street level but local area should suffice)
    • Shropshire/Staffordshire/Cheshire borders
    • time of issue
    • Is the problem consistent or intermittent?
    • Constant
    • How does it manifest itself? Does it happen more on first load? When you reply? At thread or board level? Just overall slowness? How long a delay are you actually experiencing?
    • When I open a new forum page/message it takes an absolute age to load, it says Read images2@moneysavingexpert.com in the bottom left corner. Once this message goes, the page seems fine, but before that, it's just 'dead'
    :(

I've not seen the sign saying that you must 'wait 30 seconds between posts' for ages, have they got rid of that rule?

No its just that it is now impossible to navigate the site quck enough to be able to post twice in less than 30 seconds.

I would have posted this in the 'Funny Money' section but I'm afraid that it is just not funny somehow. :(
