Forum Incredibly Slow With IE

It appears to be the typekit font library causing the problem. This is a library MSE are using.
Only my newest, core i7 processor, does not experience a 20 second freeze on the first page load.0 -

I am getting outline of a box closing very quickly occasionally, when switching pages (using Google Chrome).

If thats the case and it was font ...how would it explain the fact that the only way to speed up page loading by increasing security settings to block out intrusions ???
I am not sure where you are setting to block out intrusions, this isn't a standard browser setting?
But it could be blocking the JavaScript library, which would mean you wouldn't see specific fonts MSE wanted you to see, but you would see a perfectly acceptable looking page (fastly)?
I base my assumption purely on a profile I ran; the page took 31 seconds to load, 96% of the time was in ter6ini.js calculating offsetWidths.0 -

This is the only site I need to change the settings on to browse at normal speedBut it could be blocking the JavaScript library, which would mean you wouldn't see specific fonts MSE wanted you to see, but you would see a perfectly acceptable looking page (fastly)?
The only problem with that is that I've tried to load a page with High security and then load the page with normal medium security and to be honest unless I'm missing something the page looks the same
Every other site at normal "medium" security settings loads as normal ...which points to just this one site which has a problem
The fact that this is the case on several of my own machines and other machines I try also point to it being a site problems. It's not just about the money0 -
The settings is the tools option on the explorer browser ..the default security setting is "medium" if I alter that to "high" the pages load at pre update speed.

Yep, changing security to "High" in IE disables JavaScript.Every other site at normal "medium" security settings loads as normal ...which points to just this one site which has a problem

I experience this on two websites only:
Here
www.orange.co.uk0 -
tried opening about 6 various pages no problem ...maybe not the fastest site but still about 20 times faster than this one :rotfl:It's not just about the money0 -
Same problem for me too, I am using firefox and whenever I first come on for the day the forum freezes my computer for at least a minute
It then works fine for the rest of the day.
Same for me, using Chrome. MSE home page loads up first, fine, then I go to the forum and I'm waiting and waiting and waiting, (for images2) for up to a minute, unable to even close the site and go elsewhere. Then works fine for the rest of the day.
EDIT: It's not just the forum; the home page loads up normally, then whichever page I click on to from the home page hangs for a minute, then the site runs fine.0 -
If it was a minute just first time on the site every day, I could put up with things but for me it is every turn of the page.0
