There has been slight improvement the last few days for me.....not perfect but at least more useable.

Thank you for the feedback. We have done quite a bit of optimisation work. So it's good to hear there has been some improvement.

    Hi all,

Please may I ask that when reporting a problem you include as much of the following information as possible. Having this information readily available really helps us to investigate your problem :).
    • Your operating system.
    • Your web browser.
    • What browser add-ons/extensions you have installed
    • Your anti-virus software.
    • The URL you visited when you experienced the problem.
    • The time you experienced the problem.
    • Whether the problem occurred once or more than once

    Thanks.

I'm guessing this is IE. Microsoft's take on these issues are that they are caused by broken add-ons installed in the browser. There's usually a "Manage Add-ons" option on the tools menu. Try turning your add-ons off. When you reboot your machine and visit the site you may find the problem has gone away.

Naturally you may not want to turn off all your add-ons. It makes sense to only turn off the broken one. Sadly there's no way to tell which one is causing the trouble. It's a case of turning them off one by one and testing. Trial and error. Not ideal. Apologies for that.

This has worked for other users so we hope you'll give it a try. Hopefully you will find your browser performs better in general. Please bear in mind though that it even if everything is working correctly the site can take a few seconds to load in IE.

Please may I ask are you using Windows 7 64 bit by any chance?

    Win 7 32 bit.

Just had a warning box open whilst I was scrolling down page 3 of this thread. Not had this before.

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3966029

Tried to screenshot it but it hasn't copied for some reason.

It said something about 'your browser has sent a request that this server does not understand', but had loads of brackets and info too.

If I get it again, I will try again to get a screen shot.

This usually means something has gone wrong getting your browser's page request across the internet to our servers. Something could have gone wrong with your machine, your ISP, any of the machines in between (any there are usually a few), or our servers. This doesn't necessarily suggest a problem as the internet can be reasonably expected to fail occasionally.

It's interesting but likely unrelated to any freezing.
