    1) On many systems there will be an option on the Start menu to load "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)". Please load Internet Explorer using this menu item and see if you still experience the same problem? Or does the problem go away?

The problem goes away if I load IE with no Add-ons.
    2) Please try closing Internet Explorer and re-openning it again and visit the site again. Do you still experience the same problem? Or is it only after you reboot the machine that the problem returns?

It was only ever on first load after boot up.

It seems pretty good on this Pc.

I'm using IE7 with normal startup (nothing disabled) and pages are loading ok.

Will try disabling IE Add-Ons to see what happens.

I will also check on other Pc, which did experience serious slowness/freeze/hang before forum pages complete loading. Haven't checked recently how things are, as I switched to Chrome browser.

Im sure the bods working on this problem must be doing it in their spare time, why else would it take over 3 months to sort it out,
If any of my customers had a problem that lasted over 3 months without any improvment i"d be for the boot.

If you had paid any money to use this place I might have agreed with you.

We've been monitoring it for a while. It was occasionally taking a while to respond and in IE any one slow item on the page can delay the whole page load. It's not ideal for sites with a lot of content on the page to be honest but we're trying to accomodate it as best we can. Thanks for your assistance.

why not seperate the forum from the main site. you could just have a link on the main site that takes people to the forum in a seperate window?

Also I can now hover over a partial thread title in the main forum index and see the whole thing- this feature dissapeared for ages.
Site still working very very well for me, almost nil freezing.

There has been slight improvement the last few days for me.....not perfect but at least more useable.
I notice the bookmarks have gone from most pages I've looked at although still on this one ???
And I also notice the G+1 has gone from the bookmarks

Just hope we carry on getting there and don't take a step back
It's not just about the money
