As far as demeanor goes, apparently according to one poster, you just have to deal with it. Because people have bad days and you are supposed to ignore them.

Not funny at all - simply offering an alternative view.

You said you wanted a whole sea bass. That's what he gave you.

Do you expect your bananas to come ready peeled?

Why are so many people on this site becoming so rude and nasty to one another? You are talking about 'customer service/fish' and the whole discussion just gets horrible. I have noticed this a lot just recently. Its really sad. I used to love this site.

yes I hear what you are saying except HE (the staff member, job person paid to work) didn't politely ask me if I wanted it gutting etc as it hadnt already been done as standard.

As for mind reading (!!!!!!) its his JOB to ask questions and make sure things are right. why is it when people are given bad service we just let it go and make excuses for people.

I did it in the store, I just waited and was polite and still I get screwed over when I get home.

For the final time - The fish are supposed to be prepared - If it isn't it is HIS job to ask me, why should I 'supervise' the staff and pre-emt any possible changes to the working habbits/day of people I have hardly met

    I'm the customer! :T
If the way you are conducting yourself on here is anything to go by, you could be construed as the customer from hell. I wouldn't be surprised if the words ''please'' and '' thankyou'' never left yourlips whilst shopping in the store.

Different people want different things when it comes to fish. I buy whole fish and ASK for them to be gutted and filleted for me, even if there are fillets already done. I have never asked for a fish to be descaled, why do you need to, if you are not going to eat the skin anyway? I don't even think you need to descale sea bass anyway. If you get sardines at a restaurant in portugal, they come head on tail on, guts still in, you get looked at funny if you ask for them to be removed.

In any case it is a 2 minute job to gut the fish yourself. If you want it done for you, ASK, don't just think it will be done.

You seem to be the type of person who thinks that any person who works in a shop is lower than you. Yes you are the customer, but manners cost nothing. I must drive the counter staff mad, because I never buy cooked meat, which has been sitting there for a while. I will always get them to cut it for me fresh, If they don't want to do it, then they don't get the sale. However I do it politely, make a joke of it being a fussy sod and apologise for having to mess about, But 99.9% of the time I get what I want. You are payimg for the goods, it is up to you to make sure you are happy with your purchase, it is not up to someone else to make your decisions for you.

I would recommend stiking to buying chickn instead in the poly cartons in future, lot less chance of a ''rude'' staff member

I am not at fault for being served badly - I did nothing wrong.

You are correct that I'm not interested in hearing people defend/excuse the poor service (Note: I never claimed otherwise, and its rather presumptuous on your behalf that I would)

Of course You did nothing wrong.

You asked for a WHOLE SEABASS.

    You got a whole seabass.:rotfl:

The fact that YOU did not know what to do with what you asked for MUST BE SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT :T :rotfl: :T
    I'm not that way reclined

Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!

Manners cost nothing! lol I cant belive the utter garbage that has spewed from your keyboard.

Talk about making wild (and I might add, utterly useless, stupid and unhelpful ) assumptions.

It is astonishing that after I waited patiently, and didn't complain. I was given an item incorrectly and didn't complain to Tesco that you claim I must be the customer from hell, yet here YOU then point out you are actively awkward with the meat counter staff, dressed up in a jokey fashion.

Have a read of what shop workers think about customers like YOU! then you would see that it is you who is the customer from HELL, I didn't even complain.

This place and its hypocrites beggars belief.

FYI, I said thank you to him when he passed me the fish, I wish I hadn't.
