Manners cost nothing! lol I cant belive the utter garbage that has spewed from your keyboard.

Talk about making wild (and I might add, utterly useless, stupid and unhelpful ) assumptions.

It is astonishing that after I waited patiently, and didn't complain. I was given an item incorrectly and didn't complain to Tesco that you claim I must be the customer from hell, yet here YOU then point out you are actively awkward with the meat counter staff, dressed up in a jokey fashion.

Have a read of what shop workers think about customers like YOU! then you would see that it is you who is the customer from HELL, I didn't even complain.

This place and its hypocrites beggars belief.

FYI, I said thank you to him when he passed me the fish, I wish I hadn't.

You just don't seem to get it, you asked for a whole seabass and you got it. You may not be a regular at the fish counter, but usually you have to ask for it to be done, If you are extremely lucky, you may get asked. This does not seem to be sinking in, even though every other poster seems to think that this is the case.

Yes I admit that I am an awkward customer wheni it comes to buying fresh produce. The difference with me compared to you is that I ASK for what I want. I don't think that the staff should know what I want, unlike you. Yes they may talk about customers like me, but at the end of the day, I get what I want, I don't just accept anything and then come on here bleating like a sheep on how hard done by I was. Sound familiar?

Your rude manner seems to know no bounds. If you act like this to me in a shop, I would have stuck the fish somewhere the sun doesn't shine !

I would seriously suggest in future that you buy ready prepared frozen fish

Maybe you were trying to extend yourself from your usual fish choice of Fish fingers.

Calm yourself down, don't buy from tesco's fish counter again and if you can't stand the heat of differing posters on here, I would suggest you don't post. I love threads like this where you can slowly but surely vision steam coming out of the OP's ears, because people wont accept their ' poor me'' story

By the way, you are not right in your opinion ! :rotfl:

No what YOU don't seem to get is that the fish is supposed to be, is advertised on the website as and always has been prepared. Perhaps if you greased that pea of brain you might see that you have a gaping flaw in your opening post of dribble.

The rude manner of yourself and other posters also knows no bounds, you apparently want to assault me intimately with a fish? Tell you what Joe, get a spouse for that kind of thing, eh!

I would seriousy suggest in future you keep your trap (albeit a keyboard) shut.

You see you can suggest things but inevitably it's not going to happen.

Oh showing the manners you hold up so high to judge others with there.

Why would you say I can't "Stand the heat"? I have been able to argue my point quite well and consistently, you and others appear to just repeat the same INCORRECT thoughts (see the first part) followed by general insults, simply because I haven't agreed instantly with your opinion and you have little to no ability to articulate yourself further than than reacting to the very last post.

Ahh so you deliberately join a thread to antagonise the other forum members, what a lovely piece of work you are.

In summary.... You're no better than what you post about others :)

To be honest - I'm with Pixi on this one - the "Fishmongers" that I have come across in Tesco (and other supermarkets are similar) really do not know one end of a fish from another and they look at you with sheer contempt if you ask them (politely) to fillet something for you (Usually mackerel - and yes, I know that I can cook them whole but I choose not to). And I would certainly expect a whole sea bass to come gutted and scaled without the need to ask - or at least be offered the choice.

I have tried various ones round here, and whilst I am sure that there must be a decent one in some supermarket, I am yet to find it. That also goes along with the appalling quality of fish in general - slimy, smelly, dull eyes, brown gills... No wonder they cut them up into smaller pieces so as to hide the inferior fish.

The best place, and where I get all my fish now (ok - apart from Mussels which I sometimes get pre-packed), is the local indoor market which has a wet fish counter and they really know what customer service is all about (and they know how to handle a knife) - always a smile, always asking how I would like it and always offering advice if I look even in the slightest bit unsure.

I even once saw the man taking a couple of fish off the counter and putting them in a bucket - when I enquired why (ok, it was more of a light hearted tongue-in-cheek - "what's wrong with them?" ) - he said (and I quote) "I thought they looked a bit dull and don't want to sell them. Got my reputation to think about." :T

OOOH ! hit a raw nerve there me thinks :j
I come on here to see if I can give guidance in my chosen work field. I also come on here to see what is happening. The only reason why I challenged you was because you were plainly wrong. I also did it in a gentle and non abusive way. You seem to not want to take that into account and do not wish to even entertain any other suggestions to your opinion.

You are clearly not happy with differing opinions, so why did you post if you didn't want to here them?

In the grand scheme of things a £4 fish is the least of your troubles, if you carry on losing it you will end up a basket case.

If you don't know how to prepare fish yourself, Then I would seriously suggest you buy prepacked or frozen in future.

Tesco have not done anything wrong, apart from the manner you were faced with with the butcher not wanting to serve you, I wholeheartedly agree with you there. However if you kick off at not even any abusive comments to you and give abuse back, I could see that you could be a menace to any shop staff out there.

Letting it go now, got other fish to fry ( oh sorry, you haven't now have you !):rotfl: off to try and help people who do actually have a problem that needs guidance.

Have a lovely life and try to get rid of the bitterness you seem to be holding to society in general.

    Wow. 5 Pages.

    This crazy crazy place.

Can I ask a serious, albeit off-topic question?

Of all the people who have added their voices to this thread (Myself included), did we all vote in the last general election?

Election turnout was poor, but we all felt strongly enough to join in, or fight against, one (apparently not particularly likeable) lady's crusade about fish from tesco!

Also, I'm appalled that the chap from earlier's wifebait joke wasn't more heartily praised. The joke being: whitebait are very small. And traditionally eaten whole. 1.5KG would be a large number of tiny fish, making it surreal for the poster to expect them to be skinned and gutted. A practice, I already mentioned which is not the norm...

Yeah, he told it better than me.

Anything I post is solely MY OPINION. It never constitutes legal, financial or collective bargaining advice. I may tell you based on information given how I might approach an employment dispute case, but you should always seek advice from your own Union representative. If you don't have one, get one!

Your opinion of your standard of post is most confusing, you have been said, sarcastic and rude in all of your responses.

    "
Perhaps you didn't realise that he hasnt passed his NVQ in mind reading yet

    manners cost nothing

!I wouldn't be surprised if the words ''please'' and '' thankyou'' never left yourlips whilst shopping in the store.

If you act like this to me in a shop, I would have stuck the fish somewhere the sun doesn't shine !"

You can't go around being snide and !!!!!y without someone arguing back.

Plainly Wrong in what exactly, some posters one just a few above this agree with me. You agree the butcher part was rude. The second complaint is the unprepared fish that SHOULD BE, Here !!!!!! have a read of this Tesco page where it's says they will be prepared.

Also Bravo on following the usual ignorant forum trend, I posted questions to several of your points and you didn't answer 1, the most interesting being what is a forum for Venting for given you have a problem with me not really being interested in others views and just venting?

For the final time I didn't ask for advice or suggestions so you can take that martyr card and stick it back in the pack.

In terms of just dropping it, you can stop posting anytime you want, I will react - but you will loose what little credibility you have if you keep telling me to drop it whilst you at the same time keep dragging it up :T
