Everyone needs to to start by reading Martin's article several times, watch the video and listen to the audio file. Then read the Reclaim Help Thread, linked in my signature, as all the information you need is there, including what charges you can and can't claim and the addresses you need to send your letters to.

You'll find links to the main banks threads along with FAQ and the answers.

go into your branch and if you insist and ask them to waive the charges as a gesture of goodwill.its worth a try.you dont need your statements(unless there are other charges going back 6 yrs) cos you've already got them.try that way 1st
  • hi quick question that is obviously me being daft, but I cant find the answer ANYWHERE!!! who is the cheque for £10 made out to????????????????????????? Is it my bank or the data protection controller?? pls reply asap!! many thanks!
  • I bank with Lloyds and received all entries of deductions.

Do I claim all excess fees in full or do I have to work out what is a reasonable fee to charge and deduct that from the total before sending recclaim letter.

    You claim them in full.

As the banks (fairly understandably) haven't said just how much (or how little) it does actually cost them to automatically adminster a default, the charges are unlawful in full.

Brace yourself for a fight, though - Lloyds TSB have a reputation for playing rough.

  • Guess I will need to get my boxing gloves on then, and probably be back on here again.

No, tot up every single charge and send the standard letter just stating the single total amount you want back. Include your £25 a month charge in your total amount.
